ShrimpBrime: Thanks guys! :) Aug 9, 2022 16:46:15 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: Yeah, you guys are probably right. I'm gonna do that. For the time being I tried the Razor Viper 8K2. It's smooth and all that, but it's smaller. It lacks features. Mamba it is!!! Aug 9, 2022 16:46:01 GMT -5
austin86: I like the old MS intellimouse. But it sounds like you need to find anther Razor mamba. Aug 9, 2022 12:24:30 GMT -5 *
zila1: If you liked that mouse that much another type or brand may not suit you. If you can find another one, I would get it. Maybe two more if you can swing it and put one away. Aug 7, 2022 20:05:58 GMT -5 *
ShrimpBrime: Any suggestions, or should I just get another of the same mouse? I did get a lot of years from it.... Aug 7, 2022 17:51:51 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: I dislike my new mouse. Need suggestions. Was spoiled for a long time with a Razor mamba tournament edition. The mouse wheel has 4 buttons on it's own, I liked the side to side page scroll feature it had. The lazer wigz out occasionally. Aug 7, 2022 17:50:46 GMT -5
antinomy: So if you lack of sex, VIA's here to help you (rofl) Aug 6, 2022 18:15:01 GMT -5
antinomy: Nano has twice performance for same clocks against the older C7. But compatibility is a bitch. Bench(f**n)mate won't run on it, W10 didn't run too (maybe there is some build that will), some benchmarks are finicky about VIAs. Aug 6, 2022 18:14:45 GMT -5
antinomy: The architecture has changed a few times. C3 is like the stone age. Superseeded by C7. Don't remember about IPC but the bus changed from P6 arch (Pentium 2/3) to quad-pumped (Pentium 4/Core2). Then it has been replaced by Isaiah architecture (VIA Nano). Aug 6, 2022 18:12:45 GMT -5
austin86: yeah the c3 was a slow chip, some of the zhaoxin CPUs use VIA architecture too. Aug 4, 2022 11:28:46 GMT -5 *
Mr.Scott: Exactly Aug 3, 2022 19:31:30 GMT -5
Macsbeach98: And dont go much better either :| Aug 3, 2022 16:34:57 GMT -5
Mr.Scott: I have a few VIA's. Not much different than PIII's. Aug 3, 2022 15:21:08 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: No, haven't gotten into VIA processors actually. Figure try and recoup the spending on the board even though I really like it. Aug 3, 2022 10:56:14 GMT -5
austin86: Have you ever played with VIA CPUs? they have some very low TDP. many are sub 20w Aug 3, 2022 8:30:33 GMT -5 *
austin86: Cool idea. the b660 is a good chipset albeit a little simple. I do have a Asus csm board so my experience could be gimped. Aug 3, 2022 8:30:06 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: Try to build a sub 100w system. Then maybe sell it. Just a thought at this point. Bit have a B660-I it would work perfect with. Aug 2, 2022 16:18:44 GMT -5
austin86: I almost got one of the faster Pentium's, what will you be using it for? Aug 2, 2022 9:05:30 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: I was thinking of building with a celeron or Pentium gold. Like 59 bucks for a dual core lga 1700 Aug 1, 2022 20:25:13 GMT -5
austin86: I got my 12100f on ebay for about 96 dolors before tax/shipping. its a lot of CPU for the price Aug 1, 2022 8:09:56 GMT -5
