Ashley98: MSI 970a krait is a good board to run a 9590 on whilst running CSGO Benchmark on for that realistic smoke effect. i dont think think that board will even get past bios before smoking with 1.45v+ CPU Jul 24, 2024 15:27:46 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: Fuck. It's fucked. By the time I'm done sending it out 4 times, might as well buy another board. Not MSI.... Jul 24, 2024 13:13:07 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: I know it's not the cpu. It works fine in the B660-g. Just can't OC it. Jul 24, 2024 13:10:50 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: Nope, it's still fucked. Shuts off. Even geekbench 6 all defaults. Jul 24, 2024 13:10:15 GMT -5
austin86: VMRs... every MSI board I had that failed have a fried VRM or fets. but yeah MIS's RMA turn around has always been fast for me to. Jul 24, 2024 8:08:50 GMT -5
ShrimpBrime: Well it's tested working as of right now. No OC yet, but it's alive!! I wonder what they did to it. I can't see anything swapped out. Looks like the VRM heat sinks may have been removed. Still has the same CPU socket. No complaints, turn around time fast! Jul 24, 2024 1:10:22 GMT -5
austin86: A msi board frying ? who would have known ! Jul 23, 2024 14:40:56 GMT -5 *
ShrimpBrime: YAY my MSI board is back from RMA! Have to try it later. MSI comment was simply "repaired". Yeah, till I fry it again or it just doesn't post like when I sent it to them originally XD Jul 23, 2024 13:07:16 GMT -5
austin86: I'll do some testing to see what board is faster, the bx133-raid or the vh6-ii. I'm betting it will be a mixed bag with the 133a coming out on top when using faster GPUs with the 1.4ghz P3 wile the 440bx will be faster with lower end GPUs and a copermine. Jul 23, 2024 11:33:16 GMT -5 *
austin86: picked up a abit vh6-ii today, over payed by like a lot but I like the chip set and had a few Apollo pro 133a boards in the past and recall then being faster then 440bx when pushing them to the max with a 1.4ghz piii-s. Jul 23, 2024 11:31:42 GMT -5 *
Bones: Cool! Jul 22, 2024 21:04:19 GMT -5
austin86: Found a unicorn of a PSU over the weekend, A old school full sized redundant sever PSU. the form factor used in the mid 90s. 400 watts with 25 amps on the 12v rail and dual 4 pins. It will soon come in handy. Jul 22, 2024 9:51:47 GMT -5
zila1: I do go up there on a ladder just look once in a while but I never have to worry anymore. The gutters are always free and clear now. You should see/hear those suckers during the spring thaw! Sounds like a water fall. Jul 19, 2024 11:57:04 GMT -5
zila1: The sun hits that area of the house during the winter and it melts right over the screens and goes down into the gutters and downspouts. Keeps the water from freezing inside the gutters and ripping them out cause of all that weight. Jul 19, 2024 11:55:10 GMT -5
zila1: : That's awesome! I had to have mine installed and custom made cause of my neuropathy. Plus mine have to be a bit more heavy duty because of ice on the roof during the winter. Jul 19, 2024 11:53:51 GMT -5
Bones: I made my own for the backporch top that was essentially a leaf catcher, clogging up the gutters all the time. Made it from mosquito netting for a pool area, covered the entire thing with the stuff and it works. Did that about 3 years ago, it still works. Jul 18, 2024 21:40:02 GMT -5
austin86: Sounds like I'll need to give then a shot. Jul 18, 2024 14:01:27 GMT -5
zila1: Before the gutter guards my gutter would over flow during even some of the lightest rains because of leaves and crap. Birds even made nests in them. Not anymore. Jul 17, 2024 14:44:27 GMT -5
zila1: : We've had some real downpours here and it hasn't affected them at all. The water flows easily now. Much better than before because there's no more crap in my gutters. The gutters are clear now. I like them. Jul 17, 2024 14:42:56 GMT -5
austin86: let me know how it works long run and if they work well in heavy rain, I been thinking of getting those too. Jul 17, 2024 13:46:55 GMT -5
