Loosing time on the clock is usually a motherboard issue. i checked the battery , a full 3.0v, the thing is when i restarted it the time automatically went back to the right time, funny thing too, i didnt seem to have a problem with the benchrig locking up, seemed to be working fine with it but thats not on the net either like the daily is, im wondering whether its interfering somehow with the LAN thru the motherboard

The clock on the screen is locked because the computer is locked the CMOS clock is still counting though. What is the model of the UPS exactly? I want to download the manual to read it properly. The funny thing is it didnt do it the first day we set it up.

The funny thing is it didnt do it the first day we set it up. thx pete, i know its crazy, it was the next day when everything started locking up, the daily would be fine for say 1/2 hour, then you go to move the mouse and its locked, so a reset, all good then same again, i reckon its done it 20 times or more and i could tell it was gunna lockup coz the mouse wasnt smooth, first it gets jittery to move around then it locks, so i tried a ps2 mouse thinkin it was a mouse or battery issue, changed battery, same thing, ps2 mouse did the same as the wireless now the daily is powered by thru that new power board i bought it hasnt locked up once, its got to be a setting where its interfering with something for sure, this is off the unit itself exactly Dell Model P/N --- K789N 1920VA/1920W, 8.8Amps Max

just had a reply from evga today, the new psu is on its way, im a happy man, there is 1 thing about evga, there service and support and warranty is leading the way and is exceptional, it will cost them in the beginning yes, but in the end it will reward them 10 fold, my thoughts are, as a person that wants to buy main pc gear, and they treat you like they have me now 3 times exactly the same way, why on earth would you want to go elsewhere ?..they are excellent in customer service and warranty replies and replacement !! if only i had the money to buy their mother boards i would in a heartbeat
Hi Shane,
Thank you and I have forwarded this to be processed.
Regards, EVGA

Are those the EVGA boards that hold all the records at HWBot. Wait on they dont hold any. The only good EVGA board was the SR2 and no other brand made a dual socket 1366 board. If EVGA motherboards were that good everyone would be using them. Their Kingpin Graphics cards are fantastic.

I am not saying that there boards are bad. But if they were great people would be using them. Also there would be something seriously wrong if Vince didnt bench on EVGA motherboards he works for them after all. And dont think the boards he is using are not handpicked and modified hell he has the EVGA engineers behind him including TIN same as the cards he uses. One thing though they are not dear the EVGA Z270 classified is the same price as the Asus Maximus IX Apex on Newegg. Also the X99 boards are cheap the EVGA X99 Classified is $299 and the X99 Micro 2 is $179 the Asus Rampage V is $478. It is a wonder more people dont go for them.

I totally agree with Pete.

I think they buy into the idea of the OC socket and EVGA doesnt have that plus the rampage comes with the little readout and shit EVGA board you have to find the EVBot but I know you have a point he gets everything free from them and hand picked but you guys are right I dont see very many subs with their classified mobo or any for that matter I wish I would have gotten a mobo with OC socket instead I had to get the MSI board without it like a noob my point was tho he gets good CPU OC with EVGA boards

I wouldnt be surprised if their X99 boards have the OC socket. Asrocks have it and the MSI X99 Big Bang has it.

so my point is really i spose is that the evga boards have got what it takes if vince gets his world records with them, but those boards obviously arent available for the general public, same as the special boards in other brands for the "special guys "which is a shame coz if they were then i think evga would be right up there with the asus, gig, asrock, msi, i think that would be a fair comment

some bloody good news, the new EVGA 1200 P2 Supernova Platinum psu arrived today from EVGA, and looks as tho i get to keep the 2nd hand EVGA 1200 they sent to me as well, even tho it was dirty and dusty inside its working like a cracker, i asked them what they wanted me to do with it twice now and ive had no reply to my question both times, they just wanted my address to send the new one too, EVGA warranty and service is purely 1st class, another reason why i want to buy and try out their high end motherboards and gpus, im a very lucky and grateful man, 3 PSU's ive had from EVGA now, no cost and all postages paid both ways
