Mine are old. Like 2009 old. Antec CP series 1kw and an 850 watter. Both still good, just old ya know??
What would be the go to PSU today new at 850w - 1000w that would be as potentially as reliable??
Because I'd like to find something new and purchase it. Don't worry about the price.

I've been extremely pleased with my Seasonic Focus Gold 1000w. 10 year warranty, great efficiency, silent, Seasonic built, fully modular. They're kind of expensive NOW though, I scored mine for $99 right before the great crisis of 2020 started. I am a Seasonic fanboy though with PSU's, even though that's the only one I have right now. On the more budget end, I've had really good luck with my eVGA PSU's, I think I've got dang near a fleet's worth of 600BQ's in use, haven't had a problem with any of them. Not sure who their OEM is, but voltage is consistent and in spec, and they work without catching fire (they do have bigger models). CoolerMaster also started in house producing their own PSU's. If you're after a shiny PSU with fancy colors, I was very pleasantly surprised with the XG Plus 850 Platinum.

Seasonic has always been decent I think. Seen them recommended a lot through the years.

I have been using Corsair Psu's for the last decade. Currently I have HX1200i and AX1600i. About 20 units. Extremely satisfied Jon.

Super Flower's still making their solid Leadex Gold/Platinum unit's that they made the Evga G2/P2 psu's with, same 10 year warranty too. My Evga 1300 G2's still perfect after 8 years of daily use.

Super Flower, or Corsair high-end units (almost always CWT OEM).
IMO Seasonic has been slacking over the past few years, coasting more on reputation than extreme quality. Now, they still make excellent PSUs, but they aren't universally good like they once were. Nor are they always #1 in performance at the high-end.
HWBusters.com , Aris from Cybenetics's website, has excellent reviews which you'll also often see on TPU. In case you wish to research a specific model.
Check out Super Flower Leadex V, Leadex III, & Corsair RM1000x (MagLev fan & 10y warranty) / HX-series.
I daily Leadex III Gold 750W and my test bench is RM1000x.

Sorry for the late reply. That's a lot of choices. Do you guys think 1200w like the Corsair HX-i series would be better for LN2 processors? This is 329(us) on amazon, but if it'll push an FX chip to 8ghz, that's pretty much my ultimate goal. Or would the 1000 watters be ok? Sorry for the questions, I am intending specific use.

1000 watt would be plenty CPU's dont draw power like big Graphics cards especially under extreme load.

Can't complain about my Rosewill Hercules units. One is 7 right now and still going strong with the other being about 5 years old, same story with it.

I’ve got a Seasonic Prime 750, my system can shut it down so hard that you have to trip the switch. My lower quality Evga 750 G+ has no problems. Not sure what to think of Seasonic. I bought it because of the praise they receive, but I don’t really have anything good to say about them. Customer suggested I lower the GPU clocks under stock. Feck that.

Hi Shawn, It is extremely possible that it is not the PSU at fault. Had three cases with exact same reaction from Corsair PSU's. Turned out that in two cases it was one of the 12V cpu cables and in one case one of the GPU cables. Replaced them and all good.

I did have a ground problem hidden away in a Molex connector for a fan hub, that solved almost all of my problems. Shut down only happens when running F@H so far. On my secondary system the prime is running flawlessly, but it is no longer driving an Ampere.. Fwiw I was doing 650w at the plug when shutdowns occurred..

OK
Corsair RM1000x (2021 model)
or
Super Flower Leadex V
That's what I've narrowed my decisions down to.
Flip a coin??

OK Corsair RM1000x (2021 model) or Super Flower Leadex V That's what I've narrowed my decisions down to. Flip a coin?? Leadex V Platinum? Or Gold? If gold, get whichever is cheaper. Leadex V should be a bit smaller if that's a concern. I'd lean towards RM1000x at price parity. Both have Japanese capacitors and 10y warranty, but RMx has MagLev & less thermal density.

Corsair Jon. Hands down. I dont know how more expensive HX1200i is, but if you can stretch your legs there, do it.

Corsair Jon. Hands down. I dont know how more expensive HX1200i is, but if you can stretch your legs there, do it. It's roughly 100 bucks more for the 1200. I can swing that probably. Just trying to justify the price increase for 200w is the hard part.

Just trying to justify the price increase for 200w is the hard part. Rm series and HX-i series are totaly different animals Jon. It is NOT the same product with 200W more. Go to Corsair website and download the pdf files with the tech specs. Since I have owned Rm-1000 ( and sold it years ago ), I have the personal experience to have opened both and have a look inside. Night and day. Huge black Japanese capacitors, mosfets are double. Wish I had two pictures to put them next to each other and post them here. A true proffesional PSU, just a click below AX-i series. I also have made a joke speaking years ago with a friend - " 3, 5, 6, 7 , 8 series are all BMW ". But they are not the same thing.

The HX is considerably better build actually. The site also shows the insides. Ill shop around looks like I can snag one for under 300, but not a lot of retailers seem to stock this in the US. Amazon, Best Buy and ebay look to be my 3 main choices. On ebay, looks like under 200 bucks used, but I think I should buy new for warranty guaranty?

It all depends on the Guts used

It all depends on the Guts used Honestly haven't made the purchase on the new PSU, although I still intend to do so. My Antec 850w CP series still pushes good, my 1kw CP series went down. So I started this thread for the appeal of getting another strong PSU that would last a good 10 years down the road. George's suggestion/s are spot on when you search a break down of the HX 1200i, it's pure beast. All top components with a nice long warranty to back it. Recently running 2x 290X gpus, my 850w started thr AC power cord on fire. It was a shocking experience. PSU didn't OV trip or anything, I probably had it close to max though. I hope to do more twin video cards in the near enough future, I'll probably purchase the HX in the next month. New replacement board arrived, so I'm gearing up for some, at least hopefully, better cpu clocks to back my VGA adventures.
