1 day I will have my SkT A with a 3200 back in it with vrm cooling and the mushkin redline 4000s with a X1950 Pro or 3870, with a SSD lol, running along side a FX 8350/X2 555BE 990 Sabertooth R2. 0/1.0 and then a Dreamrig (DDR5 Threadripper) Doesn't hurt to start now?  I've been building my collection up for 2 years, and I'm just NOW finally getting the older ones working right. Not saying be as slow as I am lol, but piece it together one bit at a time per paycheck or something, and you'll have your dream in notime. Maybe not the Threadripper......  But the Socket A kit is easily available. Getting kinda spendier as time goes on, but that's with all things really. |

Finishing up my "Modular" molex cables, snipped a pair from an old junk PSU and did the deed.
Confirmed what I needed to and made it, ATM I've got some LET where they join drying and have to do the other side, then wrap them with tape or something so they do alright. Not relying on LET alone, will wrap the joints too with some tape for good measure.
These should be ready to test later on, I've already tested the PSU itself and it works (So far) and that's good.

I have updated the list with a handful of new PSUs. I need to do some digging as I don't know anything about the units added.

I finished up the rest of the cables the PSU needs.
Got lucky and an old one in a case happened to have a pair of cables with both, molex and SATA ends to them - Of course I used those!
So I now have the full compliment of cables (4) for it so I guess I'm set with it.

can you find a supply that can supply 40+ amp minimum on the 5v rail How about the Antec 900w RPP-3003V with 60 amps on the 5v rail? Granted that one might not truly be 60 amps given its 3 PSU in a redundant cage
The BFG BFGR650PSU 650W has 54amps

I tried buying it but they would not take anything less then 192$ around 100$ maybe but 200 is crazy. And yes I have a very old case that can fit it. |
