What Pete is getting at is why buy a K processor if it's just going to run at stock. Non K's are cheaper.

Non K's are cheaper. its not gonna run at stock speed before I give it to her LMAO think clearly now why I did what I did she said $1k so I built something I could give her it would last her a long time and I could bench it before I gave it to her I wasnt out to make a killing off it $200 I am making is fine for me plus I can make a build video and OC video with it Im winning here and so does she I wanted it to be super fast unlike what she has now and to stay fast for a long time

You can stick a I5 in for roughly the same price and it will run a lot better than an I3. Rule one of building Computers for non Enthusiasts do not give them Computers that are overclocked. But each to his own I suppose.

I'm with Scotty and Mac, if it's not for you, don't ever OC'it. keep it stock.
I rarely replace the stock air cooler if building for someone else. Intel and AMD put a lot of effort in engineering longevity. I don't undermine that.

Vin yep I dont want her calling me in 2 months saying her PC died I wanna make sure it aint gonna freak out on her plus I wanted it to be fast out the box that is why I went with a 7350k 4.2ghz out the box is fast 2c/4t Im sure its faster then anything they have ever used and it will last them a long time I want people to be impressed with what I give them I dont want her being like my wife with her i5 760 asking why does it take so long to boot up and load lmao but I got a 7600k sitting here for her already I got saturday I am using the little bit of money I am making off this build to buy my wife her mobo for her 7600k I cant wait to get it up and running for her I am still thinking about delidding her 7600k but I think I wan to test it with a aio 1st and see what kind of temps I get before I do all that

You will see the temps and the 12. Minute of the ownage You will be delidding. Just kidding but there's some reality in it unfortunatelly. It reminds me when i was tested my new 3770K. It was a pretty good one but couldn't normally use at even 4500 because of overheating. :/ After delid i was able to run prime at 5 ghz... Nice thermal paste Intel. Thanx...

So....no warranty for her then on the CPU? Yes, there can be a warranty loss but if You find a good cpu, it's so hard to see that it's going to waste because the bad conductivity. I've only see 2 or 3 Kaby's yet at my team mates but all had really bad contact. If Intel was useing just a bit better paste I think a lot people can live happily with Kaby. Like the paste of Devil Canyons. However it was still just an average conductivity but those cpu's was easily useable for 24/7 with a slight overclock even. Sometimes I really can't understand Intel in this way. Is is so much that we need ? :S Kaby lake can be an awesome thing for gamers. A bit better one is able for an 5 ghz 24/7 with an Aio for example and it's really an awesome thing !

I am gonna delid my wifes 7600k for sure cause she will be using it for gaming quite often the 7350k will be totally stock Im not removing the IHS incase something happens to it ever I can return it
