thanks I will try this, I have heard somewhere that putting the ram to 2666 instead of 3000mhz may help too, what do you think..? I know its posts 5ghz at 1.3v but will not run p95 at all just cores stop working straight away. whats the best stress test to use..? if p95 is it blend..? many thanks for your guidance

It needs a little more voltage. Your ram dont have a problem at 4.8

ok thanks will try that, I tried 1.35v at 5ghz but p95 failed straight away, really don't wanna go any higher so ill try aida64 and see what happens.

Z170 dont like prime95 so I figure Z270 is prob same way try aida64 it stresses out better IMO Why the hell dont it like it the only reason is because its not stable please explain. Its similar to running GPUPI on the CPU.

I really wouldn't have a clue with delidding it and its brand new here ya go buddy here is a link on how to do it and a link to the tool to do it without screwing up for themal paste under the lid I would use Arctic MX-2 or MX-4 I use the MX-2 on my GPUs and CPU its cheaper and works damn good too it has a 8 year guarantee not to dry out video tool DeBaur makes one too but it costs a lot more then this one rockitcool.myshopify.com/

That would of been fixed in Kaby and it only takes a late bios to fix it. Also to test to see if you have got the bug it you have to force prime to use AVX.

yea no one has reported it yet so I am sure they prob fixed that too I would just use Adia64 tho if it runs that for 20-30mins without crash and stays under 90c I would ride with that adia64 will show you if it had to thermal throttle also I cant wait to get my hands on a 7600k a few more weeks and I should be able to start building it and then bench it lmao

ok so gonna get aida64 when I get home from work and have a play. currently at 5ghz 1.3v runs cinebench r15 but while doing that I am noticing voltage goes up to 1.332 is this normal I thought voltages decreased with load..? after running cinebench 3 times temps hit 65c max. still wont run p95 tho wondered whether it could be memory at 3000mhz but unsure.

i wasn't expecting anything, just that 4.8ghz works nicely at 1.3v so was hoping 5ghz was possible 5.1ghz apperently is the ultimate sweet spot for cinebench scores but i am not going over 1.4v for daily use.

ok well, that's under mother board so under the cpu which says VID what is that..? also did some research while at work and it says my mother board has atx settings and if it fails p95 to put it too setting 2. now I am not sure what this does but it makes p95 run at 4.8ghz yet my cpu is set at 5ghz and it runs p95 now, its meant to help stabilise the cpu apparently, I am rather confused :@

ah sweet so whats cpu vcore at the top..? that's what I thought was giving me nearly 1.4v yet I have it set to 1.3v with turbo llc enabled. now doesn't drop to much if were talking vid

awesome buddy run with it like that that is a good voltage too 1.32v I would rock that good job man I wouldnt worry about the prime95 if it runs CB and ran aida64 for 10-20mins with no throttle ride that sucker
