thanks a lot I will order one asap, gonna order a 420mm rad, some more tubing because I would prefer my rad at the front of my case rather than on top, so once that's ordered I will get that so I can fit rad and delid at the same time

More surface area means more cooling I'd run 2 rads 1 in top and 1 in front

well now you say that im thinking the 420 on the right side (front) and maybe if it fits the 240 on the left (back) go top and front in that DG-86 the back you gotta go through the case to the back panel that opens that means soft tube stick it in the top and right side that back or left area isnt good for a rad since you have a rad in top how thick is it I want a DG-87 and wanna watercool it also how much room you got in the top for a rad someone told me a 60mm thick rad wont fit up there

I don't know how to upload a photo on here...? but you can fit it in with a struggle, on the evga 87 that I got you have to mount it over to the right at the top because of the pipes and fans have to be exhaust on top but seems to be working well considering.

yeah I would love to have a second gtx 1070 in my rig or maybe a 1080 at some point in the future but guessing right now I don't need it seeing as I play in 1080p pretty sure this set-up would run most games on max settings...?

ok so my mate is right this second making me a delid tool with his 3d printer. i'm thinking now tho after watching a few videos that you don't need to glue the ihs back on as the motherboard clamps it on for you, what you think..? i'll just clean the chip up, put some mx-4 on there clamp ihs on and see what happens..?

All my Ivy, Haswell, Skylake chips the IHS isnt glued on you will be right not gluing it back on. One of the reasons that I dont glue mine on though is because I freeze them and its easier to renew the paste if I want.

I don't want to glue mine back on as in a couple weeks when I order new rad I will order some grizzly thermal paste which will be better as I heard mx-4 will dry out quite quickly under the ihs...?

on a few videos I watched lol the best stuff to use is the liquid metal stuff but I dont recommend it cause if you get too much and it gets on the ICs inside the chip its gonna fry that is why its best to use non-conductive stuff under the lid cause if you put too much it dont matter I got a tube of MX-2 and that shit works great I put it on my video cards and CPUs in my main rig and it made a big difference in the GPU CPU already had decent paste on it GPU went down like 6-7c the CPU only 1-2c MX-4 is a little better then the MX-2 but I wasnt paying the price for a 20g tube of that lmao I got a 30g tube of MX-2 for $18 from newegg 20g tube is like $24 for MX-4 thermal grizzly costs quite a bit too and is great shit too but I only heard of people using the kryonaut stuff they got but that is about it

need some help guys just put a new 420 rad as intake on the side of case "front" and now having a play about again with the OC. I have noticed while stress testing my voltage goes from 1.3v to 1.22v ish yet I have LLC set to turbo which is max yet when idle it sits at 1.3v and doesn't move lol what can I do to stop any vdroop..? it's technically running p95 stable @4.8ghz 1.225v. As soon as I stop testing like 15 mins in because it gets to 70c it goes back up too 1.3v

ok thanks pretty sure speedstep is off and c states. thinking I am gonna just stick to 4.8ghz at the lowest voltage I can achieve. had enough of trying to delid and change my rig about, love the way its looking now with the new rad and perfect pipes, the blood red coolant also looks nice pretty sure this set-up for 1080p is pretty future proof, what do you think...?
