For the estimated price, I'll be happy with close to those.

It's all speculation and BS right now. We have to wait til these chips hit the streets. Yeah, reminds me of when they were pushing BD. Just hope this new chip lives up to all the BS and hype. Cause if it does it WILL turn our world upside down.
I won't be touching a Ryzen chip for at least 2 years if at all though. I'm really not interested anymore.

The only reason the 6950X is better than the 1800X is because it's 10c/20t. Otherwise you wouldn't notice a difference.....except in your pocket.

Oh Eddie if its good to which it will be the AMD in ya will have one in your hands sooner or later. IF I do go for a new rig it won't be for a very long time yet Pete. Prices would have to really drop for one, and the chip will have to prove itself to me before I go that route. This could be a very exciting time for AMD and I wish them the best and I have been with them for 17 years but I ain't promising to go with them again.

I went with AMD for the 2 builds before this I was sadly disappointed in my FX8350 now the Phenom 9750 quad core I had was a good chip it was decent and last build had AMD HD7950 VGAs never again lol them things ran so hot same with the 8350 its like night and day with a 5820k and 980s

I won't pay premiums for anything new from Intel. Usually do with AMD because it's generally within a decent price range.
Just has to be as fast as my current i5 and I'm onboard with RyZen. If slower... I'll wait to build with the 8 core parts and stick to the 4 core parts instead.
WILL BE DELIDDING a RyZen chip. However I might wait to purchase a board for testing so there is a chance one of you guys (In the US) may have to do some testing for/with me. If any one is interested in this adventure... say I.

I dislike that there are only 3 models of RyZen to choose from at release. I'm not going to de-lid a 500$ processor right away. Where's the cheapest one?
R3 1100 I think is the model I'm looking to purchase first. Couple of reasons. One is the OC headroom. I'm interested in seeing how binning will play a role here. And De-lid error. If I kill it real good, it won't hurt my wallet as bad to get another. XD
Do you guys think the lower R3 models will clock like mad? They are completely unlocked just like the R7 series chips.

from what i saw the 1700 is what id go for, not the x either, 3gig to 3.7 boost ? to me a 1 that dont know much that is a huge boost on stock without cold, but i wont be interested till i see some real figures from the outside benchers, and i mean main stream, not bloody fan boy, here ill give ya that too try benchers if they want it too sell good and get back in the game then come good with real facts, real benches, not this bullshit binned cpus that they think will do the job, coz ill tell ya they all wont......silicone lottery,..... theyre only showing their best results for the oh fuck, im gunna go buy that now we gotta be objective here, intel has kicked amd's arse for years, and i love amd, and i dont see it being anything different with main stream cpus, jesus a core 2 duo was smackin amds arse years ago even with fx cpus, my opinion is wait, lets see what the mainstream does with it, then well know if its worth it to have a go at it

Sucks being canadian for this kind of stuff..... #FuckingExchangeRate So I know I'd be aiming for the 1700/x once I know the true difference and limitations (Other than Thermal).... but that would put the 1800x in the $699-799CAD area (still don't see the benefit other than 200mhz clock right now) Vin

You're probably right Ozz. Gonna hold off for a bit just because. Like most of you guys I'm not in "need" of a new RyZen processor, I sure wouldn't mind having one. Pricing for any of the big ones is a little over my budget from the looks of it. Flag ships released first. See how they do and I can make better decisions. I heed the words of my Elder Ozz.

Thanks, I appreciate that. it's the exchange rate that's killing it. it's $1.31CAD to $1USD today... adding a third to everything doesn't help. The only real saving may be the tax... here I pay an additional 13%. We'll see when the launch dust settles. Vin
