Ok the plans for the weekend.
Take photos of the case, I feel I need to show why I'm going with 1/4 tubing and also what I'm working with. Mock up the cutout for the side window. I may start the cutting for it but IDK if I have everything I need for it yet. Cut/drill holes in the motherboard tray for the cable management. Clean up some scrap steel I have laying around, I'll use it for the divider/shelf I want to put in the case. Maybe start the sleeving of the PSU.

Here are some photos showing how little room there is from the side of cards to the side panel. This is why Iām using 1/4 tube.

Some updates and if I remember some photos tonight. I cut a hole in the motherboard tray for the CPU power cable. I had to cut a square hole as my biggest drill bit was too small. I was hoping to put a cable grommet in the case but what done it done, so square holes it is.
I also painted the tops of the GPU blocks black, installed the heat sink on the one 4890 I have now. I also rebuilt the GTz block I have and need to leak test it. I also got the last of the parts form frozen CPU. This weekend I plan to get my 440bx setup up and going for benching so I will not be working on the x48 system much, but if I get time I will work on it.

FYI, this build has been on the back burner for a wile now. I'm stuck trying to find anther reference 4890 and have been going back and forth on a few case mods. I made up my mind on the case mods and will be back at it latter next week.

I been super busy lastly. A combo of garage cleaning, home repairs, work and a few others things.... Like removing a blasted tree stump. Anyway I picked up a second 360mm rad, a used Bitspower Leviathan XF360... I had a few other 360mm's but I wanted a thicker one. All the rads I have on hand where smaller or thinner. I picked up a second hd 4890 and 4 Kingston HyperX SSDs as well.
So that just leaves the case modding at this point. I'll try to get to that this weekend, however I'm prepping for a run to the scrap yard so the case modding might get pushed back.

Inventoried all my parts last night, looks like all I need is a hdd bay adapter to hold the 4 ssd's and I can get to work on the x48. I'll be bussy this week so maybe this weekend I'll start really putting it together

ok, pulling a 180, getting out of the retro PC building again, since last year I spend over 5k on old PC parts... It needs to stop lol I'm going to put back together the P4 system and leave it at that.
