Finally got some drivers loaded but getting this, a little help maybe, latest Ubutu

Time for a beer!
Seems like your PC found the card though. No other errors? Does CPU folding work? Does your PSU provide sufficient power to power the PC and card? If your card consumes 120W, you'll need at least a 250W PSU, 350W preferred. If it all works out, you don't get a 'GPU not found' error at startup, and it still doesn't work; I'd visit foldingforums.org for further troubleshooting.

Oh wow, I didn't know you can track with such depth. That's really neat. Thank you for the pointers. So While folding on the GTX 770, it uses around 148.8W at 64% TDP. There's no way to lower voltage, but I can lower clocks. Looks like save 4-6W on -22Mhz core clocks with power limit reduced to 80%. Depends, 4-6Watts of saving, equals a saving of less than $10 on electricity per year, if you're folding 24/7. If you're folding only at night, you'll save only half that amount. It might work out, if your PPD count is reduced by less than the 4% you're saving on power. If you want to fold 24/7, aside from buying a new GPU, you can do the following in savings: Run your system as barebones as possible! - No case = better cooled! No or fewer case fans needed. - Set fans to spin up starting at 60C, set fans to keep temps below 75C on CPU and GPU. (Passive cooling as much as possible). - Pull out all HDDs and RAM, and any USB hubs or USB devices you don't really need, and only run from 1 RAM stick of 2GB to 4GB in size. (~2-5Watts saving per Removed RAM stick). - Run the system on Linux from an SSD ($12 included shipping). I recommend Lubuntu as one of the easiest Linux systems. If you're really a pro, you can run a headless OS, but it is quite difficult to get everything set up. For old PCs, a headless setup is a bit faster than one with GUI, but Lubuntu's GUI is very lightweight, and easy for Windows users to get the hang of.

OK - I'm most of the way there.... I think lol.
PC is on open table no case. Stock Cooler fans set to 60c. Folding at 58c (just gave the PC a break 1st time in a couple of days) Running 2 sticks of Ram, but curious as to why only one stick forcing single channel? Running only a single SSD. Using W7 Now. Have used Ubuntu in the past, so not a total stranger to it. Actually from a bootable USB. Used it for diag MS OS.
But yea, it's kinda my daily gamer slash bench slash do everything PC.
Currently running the Cpu at the near most productive efficiency without breaking P-state threshold of 1.212v and keep reasonable temps. (under 60c) CPU fan is set in normal mode actually, works great. Silent mode doesn't seem to change anything. 60c the fan spins up no matter what clock speed I'm running manual or AI overclock. Have goofed with the manual Fan threshold and I honestly don't need to as long as I keep under 60c. I'd rather not try to maintain say 62c with the fan spun up.
GPU and CPU coolers are the only fans on the system at this time. I could lower temps a tad by cooling the VRM package area of the motherboard, it just doesn't run hot enough at the current frequency to have the need too even while folding on all 16 threads.

Same system posted 4 or 5 post ago no problems in W10, other than a different SSD and hardwired through the LAN port which might be the problem. Picked up a shorter patch cord at Walley World had some problems with the port on a X79 system, being a used board blamed it on the board.
Would Fold with the CPU, although did take about 5 minutes to get the WU going. As for errors just getting the OS to load was problematic and took a couple tries through the update phase.
Got a Lubuntu ISO but waiting on a USB WIFI stick, not the one suggested (don't like Amazon)but what I could find at Newegg with the same specs and stated as Linux compatible. Also picked up a different patch cord at Home Depot.

and as quickly as Leanna joined, she has dropped off... interesting to see. Stopped just a few hundred K past my points to be 1st?
I'm going to fire up again and re-pass and she's only a day away from me to see if that sparks her back up.

WhiteWulfe is playing also Heater wasn't working and living room was 13C. Had to heat it up somehow. Sadly, my RTX wails somewhat while running Folding@Home so I can't do it all that often. Was nice to see estimates of 1.3-1.5 million PPD though. Kind of wishing I'd left it on when I went out, but that's life.

D_L production might be a slew of productive work units? I went the other way last time I ran for a few days was pulling 2.2 this time about 1.9.
Hot yesterday (95F / 35C), predicted for the the next 10 days 100F/38C + so shutting down after the 9 AM update.

I'm putting the brakes for a bit, CPU (14 threads) is riding 60C (up 15 degrees), 1080Ti is at 58C (up 10 degrees) and the r9-290x is riding 72C (up 13 degrees). I set the next WU's to finish and I'll most likely shutdown the folding for the summer.
Temps are too high 24/7 for my liking. I also hit a personal goal so I don't feel too guilty with taking a break and we are 15+ years from losing user points detail.

Rainfall warning is still in effect for the area, so it looks like it'll be cool temperatures for the next little bit ^_^
Can't really run it while I'm trying to use the computer though, because of that high pitched whine it makes while folding, but it's still nice to see a 2080 doing 1.3-1.5 million PPD ^_^

@frank - If you are using the web browser version for cpu folding, you will want to download the app. F@H will be cancelling support for browser folding soon.
Since I've been completely swamped with.... life.... graduation, working, side jobs ect... I've just been letting my rig fold for the most part with small breaks for a few hours a day. The foreseeable future I have very little or no free time available to be on. So you all keep going and be well.
Your's truly, Jon

If you have an attic, that's shielded off the rest of the house, you can put the machine folding there. Open a window by a crack, and fire it up! Or a balcony. Or separate (guest?) room that's not connected to the home AC with window open. Summer shouldn't be an excuse for not folding. I was even thinking of creating a small shack in my yard, or a tent and just run it from in there (fan blowing cold air in).

What's air conditioning? What's a guest room? ....I live in a one bedroom apartment, and opening a window a crack... Uhm.... Windows open means it's at least 25C in the living room in the summer, anything about that and that's just too bloody hot. Strategically timed opening of the windows combined with fans running helps keep the place somewhat cool, but other things like weather are annoying and make such difficult. Stupid rain. Not getting heatstroke in my own living room is a very valid REASON for not folding in the summer, as is the whole bit about electricity. It really isn't cheap, and we only have so much room in our budget for such. I deal with heat exhaustion often enough at work, for upwards of two full months. I'm not dealing with such in the apartment as well. ^_^;;;;

Balcony with server is steaming hot! (at least 125F there). It's like normal 75F cool inside, open the door, and the humidity and heat resembles a sauna. I actually decided I'd make my sauna there, powered by server heat! Anyway, Last week I had some server work to do on the balcony for an hour, and I started getting a headache. Dehydration. Just one hour it took for me to be completely drained of fluids! Rain could suck bad! I'm lucky to have a ledge on my balcony that prevents heavy rain to enter, and a mosquito net that catches the smaller drops. I don't think anything else survives on the balcony. All drops turn into steam spontaneously, before even hitting the balcony floor!

I'm going to be doing a hard push until about Christmas, if I don't go away for anything I may run until the new year. But after that I'll be taking a break for a bit. That should get us up a few spots to near 431 until the few larger teams pass us in a month and a bit.
