Don't have to mess with Nlite. Use your NF4 Raid floppy at F6 on your OS install.

Tried that several times and each time it fails to boot once the XP boot screen comes up, throws a BSOD and goes into boot-loops.
Also tried Nlite earlier and it's the same - May have to do it the other way and base it on software instead. I'll keep digging and trying things to see what finally works.

Should be able to set Raid Enabled in the bios, re-boot and hit F10 to enter NVRaid, and then you can set your type of stripe and size. After you do that, re-boot and load your OS and at F6 run your driver floppy.

Yep - Did all that too for the setup. Setting it up for RAID isn't a prob, I get all the options, set it for "Striping" instead of mirrored and even set it to boot from the array. I could try it without setting it to boot from it but don't think that's gonna work even if all else is OK.
I'll let you guys know what I come up with, either success or a hammer.
EDIT: Discovered the floppy wasn't working 100% but at least I did get all the files from it. After trying a couple I fould a floppy that seems OK so ATM I"m redoing the install and it did indicate the driver was loaded.... Indicated it loaded them before but BSOD'ed anyway, maybe this time it will go.

Well...... It's hammer time. Nothing I've tried has done it - Floppy drive/no floppy drive, different OS versions, Nliteing an OS, changing the RAID settings in the BIOS..... It has all failed and does the same thing everytime, throws a BSOD when it supposed to bring up the desktop screen but installs and all else beforehand.
So... If I can get a software RAID done that would be better than nothing I guess.

I got a disk from Barton Ages ago. It had instructions for a very NLited XP OS install he sent me. I think I gave it to Luke a few years back.... Any how in the instructions it had something about a blue screen or black screen and to wait. let it reboot after the dump on its own and the install should continue. Now I haven't used that disk in years, I do recall a black screen for several minutes and then I got it to install. It was soo stripped down, I had to install every single dang driver I needed including a PS2 mouse driver.
The way I've been doing it without NLite is installing XP with no updates and turning off all services for benching selecting needed ones only like internet and that's pretty much it.
With W7... well I've found with testing through the years a FULLY updated operating system benched better than if W7 starter with all service cut. Not sure why.. but I don't argue with it.
Or try one stick of memory.

I did get it to work finally but it's not the way I want it. Still has terrible HDD useage, XP startup scores and such, the rest is fine except for the 3D score, I know how to fix that problem already.
Will keep working on it.

That explains it all. If I can I'll see if I can't find one of those or something similar and get it done that way. If not I won't lose any sleep over it.

I find some temperature sweet spot for my Opteron 165. I can push such high as never before ! If tempreture goes lover it stops, if let them a bit higher, it stops. But if I can keep between it's barriers, it runs awesome ! Who says s939 is an easy platform ? Every time is a bit different, it's not boring if You've benched it already even multiple times.

I spent some time with my An8 Fatality. I have this board more than a year ago but never have tested in real depths. Guess what, it's insane ! (insane in 939 means it's able to do results not too far from results made with Dfi Lp's ) The max vdimm is 2,8V so Winbond sticks weren't even taken down from the shelf. (Don't really know that voltage maximum how could be serious for a "top" board Ok, no need 4V, but a 3,2vdimm could be expected I think.) Things are not so tight basically like in the Lp nf4 boards but (!!) the stuff let You undisturbedly tighten from os ! A lot of other boards instantly freezing if You try to optimizing / change anyithing with Athlontweaker or memset but this Abit is absolutely let You tweaking, and show stable, solid performance after the changes ! I can reach quite good eff even without winbond memory onboard. And the board looks awesome, isn't it ?

not too sure alpi but i think the abit was the top 939 board before the dfi ultra d came along, i think the desinger alex whoo, , im not sure of his name, left abit and went to dfi and designed the ultra d and the other dfi boards , the rest is history with dfi, i love abit products, have a abit ic7 max 3 478 board and recently it died, getting hard to find now

Oskar Wu Shane. And he was already with DFI before that Abit board. I had an AN8 Fatality board for a while. Wasn't all THAT bad, but no where's near a DFI board. You got a good one Alpi.

CB is related to bus speed the less bus speed the colder they will run its usually a balance of speed and temp thats what makes unlocked FX desirable for cold if your phase unit isnt easy to vary the temp by small amounts you probably wont get the best out of them.

Yea I had a handful that didn't like anything colder than 0 on the dot. Just how they are. Even a couple that hauled booty at ambient. Truly luck of the draw.

I know the 148 I sent you should also be a non-CB/CBB chip or about as good as it gets anyway if it does have it. If you've yet to try it, do so whenever you get a chance to.

He has this issue just above 200 bclk. At base clock its ok but even a bit higher its stuck when os load begins. :s It's not the usual cb i think since its strikes as a shutdown. Tryed with different cpus but get the same thing. :s

Finally I can build a full setup ! With the board, the panel and much more ! And wow, that uGuru panel is really something very cool stuff ! Not only a fancy, usual fan rpm screen. I am so amazed !
