Neighbor and I are shutting down 2/3 morning for some maintenance (VGA relocation and replacements), barring gremlins should be going again by the afternoon. Will be down two VGAs from what is running now (want my daily back).

Average going to be a little low. down another card for a day or three.
Gremlins sort of, two year old Seasonic 1200w Gold power supply will not run DL folding at full load.
4x RTX 2080 Supers 7700K Asus Z270 WS Corsair 115i liquid system One extra 120mm fan Couple sticks of RAM 1 SSD
Hooked the watt meter up yesterday after a couple shut downs and was watching as the system pick up the WU's, CPU and three cards were pulling about 960 watts fourth card would catch system would shut down. Finally found a power adapter to use the extra 6 pin PCIe power connector on the board. Got full system running around 1080 watts, system spiked up to around the1150 range and shut down about 5 seconds latter. Ordered one of the power supplies Bones posted and I've a 1200 PS I didn't really need to keep a little face with the neighbor. Just hope it's not a board problem.

I am going to spin up a few cards this summer, how much would a few 6950's and a few 7970's help?

6950's are not on the list 7970's = 76K/ day... might not be worth the Hydro

It looks like a single 7970 would get 146,814 a day

Anybody else having problems with not receiving a new WU. I've had to restart 3 or 4 times over the last few days to get the waiting card something to play with. Did take notice of the Work Server on the last one will see if it's the same if it happens again.

I'm not having issues receiving, but I am having WU's hold in the READY state for up to an hour to push it up.

Vin I set the advanced flag on the 5700 XTs and all I've noticed are core22. Prodigit has an example on page six of this thread but I didn't setup for the beta units.

I'm getting real frustrated with folding!
Mike has been having to reboot DL about every hour when he's home (hangs on the WU downloads) so put it next to the setup I have in the garage that's been running pretty much without problem a couple days ago, same problem in the garage. Started having the same problem with a setup I have in the house awhile ago but it's right next to me when I'm online so didn't care that much. So yesterday went to the big city north of me and picked up a wifi extender and plugged it in the garage, no help. This morning ran a cable to DL and the one in the house same problem out in the garage STILL, house unit seems OK so far. Checked to see how we are doing and looks like the statistic sever is down again. The folding folks need to get their shit together, their infrastructure either needs an updating or they need to use someone besides a freshmen student to maintain it.
Did check things out hardcore this morning found some stuff about a year ago along the same lines and pointing at the same server I'm having problems with. You east coast folks may be clear of it as it is located at Stanford according to what I was reading. Have eight VGAs running under DL and lucky to have four running at the same time unless there checked every half hour.
Take the house comment back it just failed to get a new WU.
I'm into this till page 2 then I'm down to one setup and Mike has no desire to keep messing with DL, he might turn it on again in a month or two if there is an improvement with the situation.

I'm not really good with networking, but double check your router settings. Big thanks to Mike for donating the points to the team. That's extra cool. I'll keep plugging a-way.

Wow, I've not had any of that bad luck. and I don't know what to say about it either. Only thing that comes to mind is like what Shrimpy noted. But if you're not seeing internet issues and it's only that one application.
it's basically going to the Command prompt and running a ping
ping [IP address] -n 25 this will run it 25 times, you can make it 100 times if you like. and then you'll see any loss when it's done.
then I would do it again but to www.google.com and see if that has near the same failure rate. if there is failure on the folding IP and not google. I'd run the ping on the F@H server again and if it's another failure. then it is out of your hands.
now if you get an error, with that instruction it's a loop. so to stop commands in CMD prompt, press CTRL+C. that'll cancel it.
Try that and see what happens. but I've been lucky.

I'm not the only one, it is funny Giga cards running fine seems to only affect Asus & EVGA? foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=32169Points are strange also, no points for the team for the 12 PM update but user pages show updates plus a larger than normal for for the 3 PM, never seen that before.

Got up this morning with everything running and back on Wifi!!!!!!!!
Coming this Saturday afternoon shutting down my AMD cards switching my two setups to my name and moving DL back to Mikes, going to run a week in that configuration. Sunday after next everything is going down but the setup in my garage which I'm going to try and run till it gets to warm, which might not be that long already like May here.

which might not be that long already like May here. Same, I'm going balls on my 24/7 rig (1080Ti) and in the garage on the 2080/2060 but with the temps as they are, those GPU's are in the mid 60 degree point today.. if they get to the 70's I'll have to start clocking them back down... I know 80 is the point, but I want to try and stay away from there.

A little comparison of the upload / download problems, 2/29 configured DL for a total of 8 cards and was expecting over 10 m a day after baby sitting everything for a few days posted my frustration on 3/2. Late on 3/3 switched all units to advanced as my AMD cards had been running with out problems through all of this, I've had to reboot 4 times since the change. Even though WU count is high on 3/1 & 3/2, the switch to advanced helped a lot but it also has to do with the early return bonus. The two 1080 Ti's I'm running had the clock offset by an hour and were falling way short of predictions. With two of the same core22 WUs was seeing a predicted PPD around 2.4 m after correcting the clock two from the the same group were a little over 3 m. So if it's taking a half hour to down and upload you might be taking a pretty good hit on points. Then again if bonus is calc'd on start of calculation and upload then I'm wrong. Actually I've watched the points decrease on a hung upload so half wrong.
