Hey guys/gals. I am setting up a gaming group from a various locations and wanted to extend an offer to the members planning to play here. Is anyone interested in joining in on the fun? This game is getting rave reviews and looks to be a real gem in the haystack compared to others released lately. Very few bugs, content galore, and is apparently really skill based vs handing you an iwinbutton early on.
Also, if you recently bought a Ryzen, you likely got it for free. Mine came from Microcenter so they emailed me the code. Check to be sure you got it.

who is releasing it? I can't find it on Steam. I'm not huge on 3rd person games and wondering on the cost. The 1st one is still going for $70 on steam and it's 3 years old.
video's for it on the tube look alright.

Most Ubisoft games haven't been available for purchase (at least the new releases) on Steam for something like... 2-2.5 years now. Ubisoft, EA, and now Epic are doing such, so they can have more of the profits - at present, Steam has one of the highest cuts for platforms. Of course, it seems to annoy a lot of gamers, because now you're up to five or even six launchers (Origin, Epic, Steam, UPlay, GoG, plus Blizzard, Frontier (used for Elite:Dangerous), CCP (used for Eve Online), and probably even more), and some of them don't play well with the others running in the background. Epic's for example is rather resource intensive, for some reason, but at least it's a dark theme out of the park ^_^ |

I've been playing strictly Steam as of late. Walked away from Origin and the rest.

Origin used to close down steam on my PC...
I don't know if I'm up for playing with other vendors...

This game is badass, and Uplay is not the bullshit that Origin is. Its far better. This is easily the best game ive played on PC in the last several years.

ubisoft is apparently doing a sale on the first one (site still has the old $70 price) I might do the 1st before looking at the second.

The first one will offer no continuity to the second. This is a whole new game and by the reviews, fixes everything wrong with the first and made everything good better. This is hands down the only game ive played of late that literally wasnt a question of playing again. Its hard to even stop playing it.

Honestly, this one is a gem. So glad this came out, these companies keep releasing incomplete products with game breaking bugs with little content. This one just stands above the crowd like it used to be in the gaming world.
I can easily see 500-1000 hours happening on this one over the years. Made it worth building my PC.

I did the 6hr Trial of "The Division", I can see how addictive the game can be. Read a lot on how much better and polished Division 2 is in the last week... I am NOT a fan of 3rd person games... At all... but Division like Sniper Elite series did a good job and kept me interested.
I'm in my 1st week back at work this year. Hope to start catching up and maybe get this game in the next few months...

I have run in to a few bugs.. the game will never start full screened, if I have on onscreen overlay the window is black on launch. I have to end process and try again (apparently a Beta issue as well)
I've had some bad guys die and hover, I have had guys just freeze in place.
good game, great graphics, but still a few oddities that I don't think is worth $80. Though I may buy it while on sale and use my uplay credits to get another 20% off..
just an FYI, play demos and you earn credits. so the 125 I have I got playing games. 100=20%

Things I've learned so far while playing this game.... - Weasels in those whack a tack (Whack a Mole) games are smarter than Hyenas. While they do pop up and down, they're also on a fixed track. Also also, they aren't stupid enough to shout out "RELOADING!" right before they pop up into the area you had been putting the occasional bullet half a second ago...
- Couches are surprisingly bulletproof - and great cover against grenades too!
 - Apparently it IS possible to take half a dozen bullets to the head. Somehow.
- Favourite enemy radio conversation so far... "I want that fucker killed dead" "...But...He's an agent!" "..Then I REALLY want that fucker killed dead!" (fight with Coyote)
- Second favourite: "But he's just...one... guy.. ...SHIT, GRENADE!" *BOOM* (three dead Hyenas) - yeah, I couldn't resist throwing a grenade into that conversation...
Still uncertain if I'll continue playing it, but so far it's definitely interesting.

Looks like I put about ten hours or so into it over the course of the weekend - at least that's what the launcher is saying. Overall, it seems interesting. I'm still debating about springing for it while it's on sale, but it has gone from a nope to a maybe.
Problem is though it's competing with a few other things, namely the desire to pick up the Olympus bodycap lenses, the project manager for the CAV III Kickstarter closing at the end of the month (and still wanting a few things), and wanting to save up for a gaming board from Uncertain Scenery. Man, their 10mm boards look rather interesting...

I haven't bought it, I think today is the last day of the sale (correct me if I'm wrong). I havn't just bought it because it launches like complete shit.... every time i first start it I get the black screen that's been present since Beta (no overlays are set up, I checked). After ending the task and starting it again, it only opens in a fucking window... then will crash when I go to full screen... (all issues since BETA) so then there is a State.CFG and GFX file that I HAVE to delete, then launch twice to get video, then I can Fullscreen and play... changing the State.cfg file as per their forum only crashed the game, do back to delete and restart... I got it down to 6 minutes and 6 restarts to play a game that retails at $80... SO I haven't bought it. I really am on the fence as I do like the game. I clocked in 14hrs this weekend. I now have Clan Capabilities. Playing with random people is handy esp with certain challenging bosses.
I might get the first Division, it isn't as plagued.
