5Ghz Im a happy camper. NOW! To work on getting NB dialed in... btw - this is my first rig to reach 5Ghz!!! UserBenchmark Rating:

What's the temp?

Man that HT speed could use a good bump. What about the Memory tab with the cpu tab?

Wait.... TechPower up has forums? Don't think I ever reg'ed there for good reasons.
Reg'ed just for Storm Chaser lol. XD

XD Just so you know that the moderators act like a bunch of National Socialist there. And there are a bunch of AMD haters there too. I joined here because I actually feel welcome here

You are always most welcome here. Glad to have you I really never joined there cause I frequent enough forums as it is. I just don't have time to read at ALL the OC forums. So I pick between 3 and 5 top favs here being #1 cause it's my team's site obviously lol. Shouldn't have any issues with their admin there. People can hate AMD, I cannot stop another's opinion. Just as long as they don't make it personal.

Hopefully in a year or so I will be able to start physically doing it since I have been using my words to tell people what to do far say some cards other than the Vega series. Maybe I will be able to finally do some further experimentation with my 8350

I did lots of experiments with FX processors. Its a fun platform. You can run HT at 4Ghz.....

NB tweaking... I seem to have trouble getting more than this... is this normal? If higher is do able please specify voltage and speed... thx

Well adding things to OC helps break things!! I'd love to assist!!
Cpu/NB (IMC) 1.35v NB core 1.3 - 1.35v HT 1.3 - 1.35v
Aggressive voltages would be
Cpu/NB 1.45v + (For hammering on the Ram) NB core 1.45 + Speeds 2.5Ghz - 3.0Ghz HT 1.45v + speeds @ 3.5Ghz and up
And a good goal for Cpu temps would be under the 60c range if possible.

Yes 2.6Ghz loosing stability is normal fyi. You'll get much high clocks from the HT however....

Yea you might grab a percent or two. You'd experiment by running a quick WPrime 32m, ramping up the speed and see if you knock of some milliseconds or whole seconds and so forth. I found the system to become more responsive running NB at 2.4/2.5ghz and HT at 3.0ghz or higher.
It was 2.6ghz stock HT speeds and 3.0Ghz isn't a big OC there. You can have more, but gotta move to aggressive HT voltage settings. HT speed increase shall increase Cpu temperatures.
The lower the temp on the FX chip the better OC experience your gonna have all around.

Here ya go. Nice little SS I found of HT over 3Ghz. Little Eye candies.

That's probrably close to the lid on that one without going subzero. It's a proven trend the newer chips while good with volts also want to wall faster than the older ones will. From what I'm seeing that's a 5.2 or 5.3 chip with cooling as is, maybe it would do a touch more but that's it.
My 4350 on water is about a 5.2 chip without subzero and yours looks to be acting similar to mine.

Agree with the good doctor. You're about capped out on that one. Good job and good chip.

Dont worry about HT link. CPUNB speed (memory controller) and tight ram is where the performance is at.

I agree with MacsBeach here. Do not have to worry about the HT, but you can surely overclock it. XD

CPU-NB speeds typically top out around the 2600 mark and that's on chilled water, usually 2400 is the norm you'll get without trying to lean on it. I believe I've had one around 3000 but that was while frozen. Also remember higher voltages to the CPU-NB part of it will make the CPU itself run a little warmer.
Vishera chips don't like too much CPU-NB speed but the older Zambezi chips are more friendly with that, typically around 3000 is where they wind up and can go higher if frozen.

Here we are at 5100Mhz.. not sure if I'll go for more, but why not? I think it would be a good time to blow something up. lol

Not voltage limited bro. Your cooling will be end factor. Near freezing, get more clocks

Daily driver settings: If I can rig up some cooling out the window I might try for 5.2Ghz at some point.

Well now it's time to lower multipliers and run the bus frequency up. I think 300mhz would be a good goal. between 250 and 300mhz daily should be np.
