Came home today to find a puddle under my PC. Took me quite a while to find it. Its leaking from the back of my rad.
I'm quite lucky as the water dripped on to my MB's CPU power connectors, and ran down the MB to the cabinet my PC lives on.
I wont get to it until Sunday to clean it. And may get an air cooler on.
I'll try to get her pack up and folding when I can

Aww man! Bummer. So there was no damage to the PC? Thank goodness. My only rig on liquid is the bench. I have a full loop in a box somewhere though.... want to build a cased rig, but just can't squeeze the time in. Half the time I'm mobile when I post here... Additional comment: I fired up a GTX 580 760 and a 770 and folding with 24 cpu threads.

Glad to hear there wasn't any damage! Mine's probably going to see some downtime the next few days (on and off) due to something a lot less worrying - I just don't want to trip the breaker.
Going to be doing a bit of stuff for Country Cup, including, uhm, well.. Token submissions, but it means it's a filled slot.

Try to accomplish PR of 1 million before the 25th . What used to take months/years now only takes hours/days/weeks to accomplish. I'm Blown away by all this!

@vin You're right though. Air cooling is better if you leave yur rig unattended running or not. Leaks happen any time. I had a pump fail once when I was away. Ironically I was F@H with an Opteron 165. Sucker would do 3.2ghz all day long. Came home to a soaked board. The acrylic top cracked on the water block. Over heated the Cpu while the switching PSU didn't switch off. Was locked up when I found it. It all posted after cleaning and the Cpu was on it's last legs. I got a few days from it and then done.

Sorry to hear this, That's why I prefer an aircooler on my non-benching stuff. Did have my DD on water before but decided the risk just wasn't worth it for daily use.

what a shitter, if i was going to fold and running it 24/7 and i was running water , id work out a way to have my rig set up both for water temp, psu and pump power shut off, if it runs out of water it turns the power off, but i suppose you only need water to drop in the wrong place on the board and it could be toast, another reason i dont like radiators , hoses, connections, fittings above a board in a case, even if its a top mount psu its under the radiator and if it leaks somehow well the psu can get it, bottom mount itll drain off the board onto the psu, if its a water block or hose, fitting that fails, well its the luck of the draw...hope the board is ok vinnie

the glycol started to crystallize on the board.
I've cleaned it up with 99.9% Alcohol, blew it out with a can of air and I'll leave it for a few days to dry.
Late Sunday I'll install my Noctua ND15 (Large Air Cooler) until a new rad comes in. might wait for Dec 26th and hope to get a boxing day sale... the rad I need is a 140mm wide x 45mm thick... won't be cheap

So far I'm saying I was lucky.... I'll know for sure after it's all back together properly
as for acrylic.. I learned my lesson before.. none of that shit in my loop. My res is glass and chrome, RAD and CPU block are copper. fittings and temp probe are anodized aluminum. and I used good tubing...
for the rad, I got it from a buddy in 2009, he had it a few years before I got it... so 10 years and some of the years I first had it, I wasn't too nice to it....

Back up with the bench rig, running a CM Evo 212 as I can't find the brackets for the Noctra. CPU temps are at 41 deg. GPU is at 45 deg.. easy 5 degrees better that when in the case...

swapped out the 750w PSU for the 1300W, booted in to windows and the OS is kacked... Was hoping to spend the day shopping for a new rad and maybe some cheap games on steam... not having much luck today.. motive for the PSU swap was to add the 290x to the rig and have the monster go... right now, everything is down... sad day Vin

Well... because I kept the user files I was able to open the log to see why she kacked....
Boot critical file d:\efi\microsoft\boot\resources\custom\bootres.dll is corrupt.
Repair action: File repair Result: Failed. Error code = 0x57 Time taken = 1187 ms
Repair action: System files integrity check and repair Result: Failed. Error code = 0x57 Time taken = 828 ms
I had no way of accessing the log with the system messed up... now I know.. bummer

Rivatuner stats server comes from Afterburner. Delete it and re-install Afterburner should fix it. Untick the box for stats server on the install.

after swapping some GPU's in my rig, F@H will not play nice with my 1080Ti at all. So I'm down to my r9-290x with 300-400k ppd. I'm waiting on a new rad and need to re-build the daily. I'll be doing a fresh install at that time. So'll I'll figure that out then.
