I've got a line on an XFX 5870 locally from scumtree for AUD$40, picking it up tomorrow so it looks like I will be able to have a go in this comp...

Hey guys! I just wanted to pop in here and wish everyone luck! Even if you cannot compete in the top 3 because of hardware related issues, everyone with a computer can still enter the competition for the lucky draw prizes. GOGO Warp9!

Believe I'm done - Can't go any faster without it being colder and it goes under the ambient limit when I do that. My 3770K I considered trying but it has a couple of wonky temp sensors that reads all over the place both high and low - No way that one would be accepted with all that going on. Good chip, just wish it was consistent in what it shows for temps.

Turns out that the XFX 5870 I got fit the bill but alas it's the non-reference PCB with a uPI uP6213 voltage regulator that has no software control, 1.163v on the core is all it's got. Here is what it managed in the GPU stages:

Have the same card. Does almost same clocks. don't take it out again because I got you in GPUPI v3.3 1B, GB4 Compute and GPUPI 1B although Ales has the points in that one. Also 3DMark Vantage Performance but that's another moot point (see what I did there?!?), Ales with the result again. I'll be working through the list in the next little while then I think it's on to Vega 56.

2 Cards a reference Epower 5 and a Gigabyte Epower 4 both are potato cards and the Epowers dont really help. First go with a Epower 5 I like it only takes 5 mins to get used to the onboard voltage buttons and its a lot easier than using a EVBot.
