Vin for GPUPI you will want an early Afterburner like 3.0 so you can unlock the shaders from the core the trick to it seems to be to clock the shaders as high as you can.

in my EVGA Precision, I have a link button between the core and shader. I should be able to un-tick that to adjust separately. But thanks for that tip.
I also know ZERO about GPUPI, so any info/tips on that would be helpful.
Vin
EDIT: and for Geek Single, I was planing on cutting cores to save on temps, I can do that in this comp can't I? I know I can't close cores from a 6 core to 4. but nothing is said I can't close 3 of 4 cores, disable HT and bench Geek....

Took my card today and reTIM'ed it, the TIM wasn't bad but clearly beginning to show signs of drying out. A little ceramique later and it's doing OK for now, just easing it back into the clocks I had it at and may slap a block on it before long anyway - Never watercooled a GPU before but I can do it.

Or just use Nvidea inspector.

Thanks for the Tip Scotty Vin Edit: I also have inspector, I was wondering if the LOD adjustment would work for 3dm03, I thinks that's the only way to adjust it, isn't it?

Afterburner 430 has unlink button that works on 260. Thanks for the tip Scotty only problem there is Afterburner only goes to about 960 core its fine for water not cold. Precision goes to 1300+

On Inspector you can save profiles. Button on bottom 'create clocks shortcut' will save the profile to a button on your desktop. You can create multiple different profiles and even shift on the fly.

EVGA Precision 2.0 (I think that's right) has the shader unlock function and that's what I've been using. Can't get afterburner to do it but that version of the EVGA program does it right out of the box. For some reason the later version I have (3.0) also won't do it but this version does.
Need it? Let me know.

Afterburner will extend the limits if you are using the unofficial OC function but you have to complete a run at each max before it does, depending on Version. Ran into it during the OCN HD 5450 comp a ways back.
Have EVGA Precision 2.0 on my thumb but Guru3D should have it in the old pages.

You got me Rodney can you link it. You have a PM. Ale is correct in that I did see a few versions there that fits the bill, either way you will have it one way or another.

Here is what I get with Precision... This version doesn't have profiles. I played with Inspector and I think I'll use that with the saved profiles, it lets me get to 3k.. I'll never need that high on water though... didn't see where to adjust LOD in inspector. I'll have to play with it more quick stock test of 3DM03 was 51100 and the GPU temp got to 60 degrees. I'll re-tim this before I go for the stock benches. Vin

didn't see where to adjust LOD in inspector. I'll have to play with it more Click the little tools button next to the driver version. That opens the elevated settings. You'll see LOD there. Do you need the modded version for more LOD?

Do you need the modded version for more LOD? Not a clue as to what you're referencing. I just remember LOD +/-10. I've never played with this card so I have no clue where I'll need to be. VIn

I've been looking at the single thread efficiency of my x58 setup and it blows... I might steal my daughters rig, forgot what I put in there, but it's DDR4.. and a quad...
might use it to do geek, I might have a chance with my x58 with the others...

Use it for both Geek and X265 if its a Ryzen 3 4Ghz will see you proud it doesnt matter what Graphics are in there. For 03 your X58 will suffice Ryzen sucks at benching 3D I had to run my Ryzen 7 on Nitrogen to get close to the score I got for Vantage with X5960 on water with the 1080Ti.

Checked, it's an i5-7400 4/4 cpu. See what I can do with getting some runs on it done. I might put up my x58 as a placeholder.

This was easier than Dave said it was a couple of razerblades under the corners and give it some heat. The paste on it dont look too good.
