Post by ozz on Nov 6, 2016 23:50:54 GMT -5
least it boots and goes into windows, i put the Q9300 i got the other day in it to see if that works also, but im not happy with it being like it is, if ever i want to sell it ill have mine and buckleys chance of it with a bang like that, theyll think straight away its faulty, he cant deny the damage ive sent him the pics and theyre all ready to go to ebay as well if he doesnt come good with some sort of compensation, i paid $112 for this board and someone clearly knew it was damaged, the seller mightnt have packed it up but someone did and knew about it and said nothing, well they picked the wrong bloke to send it too

damn $112 its not worth $50 like that damn I would tell him he needs to give some of your money back did he only have 1 picture of the mobo in the listing check those pics and see if you see the corner bashed up like that that is total BS there tho I hope it keeps working for ya tho

Pull 530+ FSB benchable with that 9300 be no hit on resale, Locked multi Yorkies all about the MB, reason not a lot of cold and air/water is competitive.

itll do about 450 fsb x 7.5 multi on air ales, cpu up around 50c , maybe a bit too warm i think @1.268v, board seems to be goin ok, the corner damage hasnt affected it, im gunna open the corner up a bit, squeeze some silicon in there and wipe around the edge to stop any moisture gettin in, all i can do, or maybe mix up some araldite and put that in there and clamp it up gently and let is set and wipe the corner with clear silicone

450 x 7.5 = 3375 I would say you are doing something wrong. set your MCH frequency latch to Auto or 400 then set the memory to 2.00D and try it. The cooler has got the copper core in it? if so give it 1.365v if you are worried about the heat dont, look at the intel vid range for it on this page. ark.intel.com/products/33922/Intel-Core2-Quad-Processor-Q9300-6M-Cache-2_50-GHz-1333-MHz-FSBThey will run hotter than 50c it isnt an AMD you know. I am sure that Tjmax for those is 100c I would stop at 75c Although I wouldnt be doing any multi threaded benches on it till you get the water back on.

I am sure that Tjmax for those is 100c yep itll be me doin somethin wrong for sure, had the latch at 400 but had to drop the mem down coz it was around the 1200mhz i think, has the copper plug in the cooler, went to 1.3v but didnt want to boot into windows, i was thinkin the heat would affect its ability to be able go further , a buzzer alarm went off on the board so i shut it down, im gunna fix the corner and set it up ready for cold water for when me goodies come Tcase is 71.4 c, TDP is 95w, v to 1.3625, guessin this is all for the intel air cooler

Yep tcase 71c sounds right Tcase and Tjmax are 2 different readings. VID Voltage Range 0.8500V-1.3625V they can default to anything in that range so if you get a bad one 1.3625v could be the voltage it will run on auto. That corner if it was me I would probably just cut it back with a radial burr in a small die grinder I doubt there would be any tracks going around the outside of the screw hole.

Had one yorkie idling @ 80c on water hopefully sensor was whacked showed no sign of over heating during the bench runs. Do know my office box idles at 55c and loads around 85c on a 771 yorkie variant using air and been like that from day one. They do run hot had 12c difference between my hot and cold side with the cpu mentioned first.
Added: If you checked any of my subs for voltage the XP runs are lying, turned on the extreme switch in CPUz and it started showing vid for voltage as far as I can tell. W7 runs do show what I was using for voltage.

turned on the extreme switch in CPUz and it started showing vid for voltage as far as I can tell. Exactly correct. When set to extreme it reads the VID instead of the actual vcore. What it's doing is shutting off the live monitoring so CPUz doesn't BSOD your validation or screenshot.

finally i got some justice, after prob 40 + messages he has refunded me half of the cost, called me a liar, not the same board i bought, had to provide pics thru pvt email address, because he says ebay pics are not clear to see , i dunno about that, his refund address was in aus not korea but the product came from korea, but a forwarding address, i smelt a rat, i told him so then after all these 40+ messages to his pvt email address and ebay messages he concedes after i spoke to his forwarding address ph no he provided me with lol, .............a 100% rating means jack shit on ebay

a 100% rating means jack shit on ebay Just means both parties walked away with an above average feeling of the transactions. Vin

I always look at the rating and how many sales they have had If they have only got 1 or 2 sales I usually steer clear the same goes for a less than 99% percent rating depending on the amount of sales.

Yea you gotta check cause some f that 100% rating can be from buying and not selling I delt with a fool like that once a few months back

eBay. The place where cheating and stealing has become an art. Identity frauds, stolen credit cards, you name it. I have 280 transactions ( small number ) on eBay. Both as a buyer and a seller. 100% positive. Now listen to this - A year ago I was selling a potato I7-5930K, which I was truly ashamed to list at the BOT market place. That THING, could barely do 4.5ghz with 1.45V !!! So, I put it on auction, at eBay.co.uk. Starting bid at 200 GBP. The cpu was perfect, one month old, but a potato. 1 day before the end of the auction, maximum bid was 310GBP, and I considered myself lucky for that. 1 hour before the end of the auction, someone hits the buy it now button at 385 GBP. I say "mistake". Nope, no mistake. Look at his feedback and he had 1188 positive transactions. 100% positive. COOL. He pays next day and sends a message if I could send the cpu to Vietnam, instead of his PayPal registered address. Question to PayPal - Can I ? 24 hours later, PayPal says, all clear, proceed. Have it in written form.
Cool. Cpu is off. About a month later I get a message from PayPal that someone filed a claim. Long story short, it was the true owner of the account, who saw a charge in his CC and filed a claim for charge reversal with his Bank.
The thief, did not only steal his CC, but somehow every detail useful for on line cheating. As I was told later by eBay, he managed to byte some 6000+ $$$, before he was blocked.
So here comes PayPal and asks me to return the money, Ha ! Fuck off. Period. YOU said clear to ship. YOU pay the money back to the Bank.
So they did. So I stopped selling anything on eBay.
And my buying is minimal and only cheap items.
N.B. Not that HWBOT's market place is more secure or honest. My accumulated financial damage from there has crossed the 2000$ point.
Nice people. No one is punished and the Admins, having filled their hungry stomachs with $$$ from Intel and Asus, have disappeared in the wild.
Cool. Lets move on.

Ebay favors the buyer hard. As long as you buy, you're pretty much protected for everything. The seller is the guy that gets screwed. No protection and outrageous fees. I rarely sell on ebay any more. Been burned too many times. I'd rather give the stuff away.
