Simple as that I try to maintain a positive outlook for the future generations that maybe this will turn around. I fear that it will not be in my lifetime though.....if at all.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ "Unfortunately, they are a dying breed" Maybe the biggest truth I have heard and read in my life. Simple as that I try to maintain a positive outlook for the future generations that maybe this will turn around. I fear that it will not be in my lifetime though.....if at all. Wishful thinking Scotty. The water has entered its canal many years ago and is moving. The acceleration of the last years, has surfaced the truth. Dignity and honesty simply are so scarce, that you can't even believe it if you find some. The current rule of survival is : "Fuck them before they fuck you" - "Grab THEIR money and run" It is epidemic, pathologically sick and fully unpunished.
I do not have illusions. I do not maintain any kind of positive outlook. On the contrary, I strongly believe that things will get worse in an accelerated pace, with unpredictable outcome.

Few comments in the proceeding post could get me on a rant, getting up in years and the ways things are going I'm glad my time here is getting shorter.
Pete, have a T variant of the board haven't put power to it yet. I'm still trying to get to 540 and not having much luck and everything I've put in the Gigabyte board have all capped in the same FSB range even tried different steppings on a few of the lower end quads. If you get there or above I'm going to be begging information.

well im a bloody dumbarse arent i , i just dont remember doin that, alzeimhers i think , good one pete thx mate, be interesting to see what you get out of it Shane you aint got Alzeimhers yet you just thought that 3 pin header was the clear CMOS header its the Power Led header cmos is the 2 pin next to it. I am glad it didnt short a resistor or signal transistor in the starting circuit. It was in the I am scared of you mode at first though it didnt want to start at first I had to force start it by jumpering the power supply then it was Ok. Brad its got a Q9300 in it 7.5 multi its going to need high bus I will see how it goes. Gigabyte are still the best Yorkie board. For Conroe, Wolfdale and Kentsfield I prefer the Asus boards but Gigabyte rules Yorkfield.

They go for more than $30 TBH. A good board like that rarely, if ever goes for under $70 plus shipping. Average price I've seen is around a bill, give or take.

Being a total noob ( almost ) with LGA 775, I bought a month ago from my friend Bala ( Achilleus in HWBOT - from Hungary ), an EP45-UD3P. Boxed with all accessories. Modded by Bala to accept server cpus with latest beta bios from Gigabyte that recognizes server cpus. Pristine condition. Paid 60 Euros shipped. Don't know if it is expensive or not, but I can sure trust a man that I have done numerous transactions in the past without a single issue. A true gentleman.

Not needed Achilleus ( Bala ) has a super expert in Hungary that can do EVERYTHING to a motherboard. It is ready for Server cpus. Pin modded.

Had some problems with the stickers, had two batches purchased about two years apart both US suppliers but sure from China. The latter would drop some CPU function when pushed, had extra trace material not present on the older ones (X-Acto knife removal helped). Probably slight difference in the alignment in the cutting process.
No need for the comments!
Does the MB still support S775?

It should still support 775 you only have to cut the notches out for 771 and the beta bios is F10B that will support 775. A question Brad have you still got QX9770 and QX9775? I hope you wern't at that food festival.
