valid.x86.fr/yjrywi hope I can replicate this in a couple days again, though it doesn't seem like this comp is getting much attention sadly...

I probrably won't be in it, too hot out where my benching area is and my best (Known) board for DDR4 ATM is already setup for streaming. I'd have to tear all that down to use it.

Except for bragging, what is the real meaning of max speed, either cpu or ram, if it can't be used ?
TBH, I have never tried it. I mean one stick and see how high it scales, with extremely loose timings to allow for high speed.
Why should a simple person ( I understand vendors, they need to brag ), put a stick under extreme pressure ?
Does this prove something ? Can it be used ?
Just some thoughts. Maybe I am wrong. I really do not know.

And I won't move it, just saying it's available. --- I have a set of PNY 2667mhz (XMP profile actually) that I was able to OC all the way to 3800mhz 22-24-24-48 2T 1.35v. No reason to participate if you don't want to. Do what you want.... But I'm not asking you to prove stability by running 4 hours of OCCT AVX2 back to back with Prime95 or anything. Also, wanted to do a quick bench-off. Will be the last one I host for this year. (indefinitely). I'll leave future bench-offs to you fellas, make em' the way you'd want them. That is all.

The link sir. warp9-systems.proboards.com/thread/1749/ddr4-ddr5-comp-discussion-threadThank you Jon I think you might have misinterpeted my comment about the usefullness of trying to squeeze the last mhz either from cpu or ram. My comment does not have anything to do with this comp. It was a rather impulsive thought that I have done many times regarding these two benchmarks ( they are not benchmarks, just a validation ) and their reason for even existing. Just shared my thought. Maybe it was not the right place to share my thought ( it would have been more appropriate in the discussion thread ), but it just came out and posted it. If that creates some kind of discomfort, please move my thought to the discussion thread.

The last time I tried I was able to run briefly at around 4500MT/s with 2 sticks. I will have to try again with this board now.. We should make it interesting and run 4 sticks.. who would be the dual rank master?

Oh yes, I know because I tried Best I can do with my current setup is 1966 1:1 with 4 sticks. I can run 1966/2000 with 4 sticks but after that no post. 2 sticks is easier.. BZ didn’t like my board, but my results were slightly better than his but I think his hardware was working against him.

Sure do understand your point George. Is the validation useless? Only before and after this competition. During the comp, your validation is everything.... if you'd want to win. But, I've lost my benching appetite. Just want to pay out this cash. So validate the highest frequency, I send 50 bucks. Simple as that!

If I win Jon, those 50$ go to charity. But lets see first who wins. My son goes to the Shriner's Hospital in Chicago for his cleft palate. He has surgery at the end of the month to have his upper jaw broken and moved forwards so his front teeth lip area don't look all caved in. He will also have another rhinoplasty for his nose alignment. We try to donate to the Shriner's Hospital when we can and will make sure the 50$ goes to that hospital. It's the only thing we can do to offset the burden of not being able to afford these surgeries first hand. We are very thankful for everything donated and is never gone wasted. Thank you George.

High functioning autism, so he can drive and has a full time job. But this will be something like his 14th surgery since birth. He's 21, due to covid, this surgery was supposed to happen 2 years ago. He should be just fine. He handles pain like a champ. The doctors and surgens are all great people. They've done a wonderful job. The local school system also has done fabulously through the years. Well enough that private schooling wasn't necessary, but he's had plenty of outside tutoring. We are blessed for his high functioning autism. Some autistic kids will never drive, or have the chance to live alone. And we have only donated up to 1000$ at a time. Basically something every tax season except last year. The tax return check was saved towards our fence. The dog badly needs it. So do the rest of us lol. But thank you very much George. It means a lot that people care.

Humans must never forget -
The sad thing is they do forget. The worse thing is that 99.9% care only about their ass.
Worst of all. Even rats are better than humans ( not all OFC ), in some aspects.
I sincerely hope I will not be alive to witness the end of all this.

Some autistic kids will never drive, or have the chance to live alone. Like my son Joe. We donate to the local center all the time. They are non-profit and need any support they can get. I understand you Jon. Most people that have never walked in our shoes will not get it.

At least your kids are alive, Thank God. Mine is dead. And these are the worst shoes anybody should ever wear. I can picture the pain. (There's no accurate words to describe the true feelings) We have 3 kids. Every time my kids ride bike down the block, us parents worry. Nobody wants that pain. It's for life. My wife carries the burden of giving birth to a special needs child. She will forever think she's the one at fault. And I can't lift that weight off her shoulders. So I try to help her stay strong. That's all I can do. Cause not even "God" himself could lift it. (If there is such a thing...)

I understand you Jon. Most people that have never walked in our shoes will not get it. I know you guys have it a bit rougher than we do. A lot of people donate quite a bit to autistic special needs. It's become a pretty big thing. Shriners Hospital used my insurance. What they don't cover, the hospital picks up the rest. We where fortunate to have in sponsored by an individual from Shriners. I believe it's the best place we could take Dryden. It's a really amazing establishment.

I give to children's charities. The children need us to support them. Those of us that grew up without these issues appreciate very much the struggles these kids go thru. I pray for the children every night. georgekokovinis: My best wishes are always with you. I send blessings to you and your family. My father lost two of his sons(my brothers). We also have pain in our hearts. There are very good people here. Family. I care about all of you.

I guess in my case I'm blessed to have no kids. I've got more than enough to worry about now with my own issues and the wife's too. With that there is no one to get upset and have to worry about me as well.

I should remove a stick, but I feel the jump from 4300 to 4400 will be just to big without BCLK. Which I did do with both sticks, only accomplished another 50mhz before the major blue screen of death.
