Most of us probably played with improving air-cooling at sometime or another so figured a thread would be appropriate to highlight the endeavors. So if you have a pic or two post them up. My winter air setup, intake, fan and computer. Was doing pretty good till the connection to the computer case and couldn’t find an adaptor so used the accordion end off a cheap toilet plunger.

nice setup. what do you have outside? couple of 90's? just wondering how you're preventing water ingress?
ever think of running another line back outside?

North side of the house roof overhang enough to keep the rain out, do have a furnace filter to keep the bugs at bay. Thought about a return line as it froze my legs ended up just moving into the garage.

lol this reminds me of the time I had a celeron D 360 I cut a hole in the side of the case and mounted a air hockey table fan on it and you plugged it into its own 110w socket lmao it was so loud you could hear it through the whole house

Must of had some CFS and good pressure, probably enough to clear the heat sinks of dust buildup:)

lol at the time I was running a thermaltake orb heatsink there wasnt any AIO or much of water cooling even out then lol I had to do something but that thing did lower the temps a lot that is when I really started to get into overclocking and modding cases for heat dissipation now stuff is so efficient you really dont need all that plus water cooling stuff is much easier to get I want to do a custom loop in my PC try to get the temps down on the 980s

the only thing I see is it might hit taller VGAs but its not like you are testing them with 775 anyway lol but that is a damn big cooler lol

Mr. Scott : Wow ! Yes, it is ! You are a Cooler Master ! :DDD Shadyreaper : It can be adjusted with small screws at the sides but it can be turned even. Ram change is the thing that can't be made till cooler on.

That's a Scythe Susanoo I have, one of the largest coolers around, could be THE largest but really don't know. I do know you don't see these often and when I spotted it up for grabs I had to get it. Makes for a nice, quiet setup that's effective with my everyday setup and does well with OC'ed stuff too.

It's pretty strange that these type of coolers are so rare, isn't it ? Newer cpu familys runs better and better on air coolers. So many people uses pretty big coolers with a lot of heatpipe but all them flows above the board, and what is even worse, covering the vrm area. :S Ok, new stuffs are pretty much cooler than older but the vrm is just the part that can going hot like it used to. So I like these coolers, like Gemini, not just the unique look but the cooling ability for all the rig. Ok, this size is pretty huge for a normal pc case but there are other types but same construction. Here is an X99 rig with a cooler blowing to the board direction.

Got the idea from the company I used to work for, had three of the 8" fans connected to one of the AC outlet in the room that directed air to the warmer areas.

I used to do appliance repair primarily washing machines and dryers. Most problems stemmed from a plugged vent from lint or they have to way too many 90 degree bends or was too long of a run for the dryer to breathe anyway. I loved those calls especially from ones that complain that their dryer ain't working properly and they just replaced it with a brand new one and still have the same exact problem.

ShrimpBrime , My own attempt at colder air to an air-cooled VGA Card being cooled HD 5450, volt mod for the mem was a no help. Restarted my old Photo Bucket account, found a bunch of stuff I forgot about.

Haha, that's totally awesome!!! Love it!! Nice job.
One thing about trimmers is that they increase in very small increments. Need to have the multimeter hooked up so you can see the voltage and how much it increases.
Last time I played with trimmers, it seemed to take quite a few turns of the dial to get the voltage up where it needs to be.
On older cards, you can mess with the memory timings also. This might help with the additional frequenxy and voltage.

Multimeter sitting on floor, can see it through the fan on the motherboard tray.
