Whoa.. the 3080 is a beast... Wish I could afford to get a few of these for folding... as for the garage rig going down.. on re-boots she keeps defaulting to the onboard graphics in the F@H software. I have to keep going in, delete the GPU and mess with adding the right GPU back in... starting to get annoyed with it... I'm going to try and do a re-install of the F@H software and hope it gets resolved Vin Disable igp in bios? Would that potentially help?

but I use that display to not load folding GPU. I have an HDMI RDP dongle on the IGPU. I found that if I leave the dongle on the 2080 I lose a few % of performance.
I didn't have this issue before. I may have to do a re-install of the software.

So I have the Folding rig with just the 2080 Super going in the garage again. had pulled it for the comp and the ipgu stage.. she doesn't perform well enough to sub.

With the utility costs going up, I'll be shutting down the 24/7 rig in the garage for the time being. I'll likely stop it on the weekend. I'll still fold here and there on the 3080 while I work from home like I have been. the rig may come back up in the fall if the costs come back.
Another reason is my partner started her own Therapy Practice, she has clients but we're planing on her not getting to a regulated client list for 3-6 months... so we just need to start tightening the belt for a bit.
we're going for low hanging fruit first.

MachineLearning you're folding up a storm. great job. mind if I ask what GPU(s) are you running?
When I folded I was running (1) 2060, (1) 2080 Super and (1) 3080 sometimes... I retired the 1080Ti's (2 of them) when I gave them to the kids.
hoping to put the 2xxx series back in the fold so to speak in the winter if/when the utility bill comes down. (Pool and AC in the summer pull insane power)

At the moment, I'm using a RX 6600XT @ 2800MHz core / 2300MHz mem @ 176W max., alongside 12c of a 5900X @ 200W/145A/200A. It's my daily rig so I fold whenever I don't need the power for games (almost all the time). Originally I wanted to put the CPU towards Rosetta since it's more efficient there, but they've had chronic issues for much of this year so I gave up on that for now. I can't express enough how impressed I am with the OpenCL/GL performance on Adrenalin 22.7.1 and newer. More than doubled my PPD, with no other changes by me. I filled out the Google questionnaire both before and after 22.7.1 in case you're curious of what project, TPF, etc. I used to use a GTX 750Ti, GTX 970 & 2x HD 7750's earlier this year, maybe when winter rolls back around I'll see how GCN reacts to the OpenCL/GL fix.

Thanks and saw that. 1.3mil ppd from just drivers is freaking insane.

I fired up folding a little while ago. Come to find my settings didn't stick and was producing WUs under no name and no team. Now I have it set up, I've completed a few work units to have only 1 actually shown up in stats. Cause can't let MachineLearning take over me that easily ya know?!?!? haha.

Decided to say screw the hydro bill for a week or two and spool the stuff up to blow the dust off... The 2060 + 2080 Super combo are chilling at 61/62 degrees and pulling nearly 4 Mil ppd. This is my cold garage The 3080 (EVGA FTW3 Ultra with EKWB) when I run it is pulling about 6.1Mil ppd (in my 24/7 rig, I only run when I'm home) and with the triple 360 rads running a balmy 43 degrees in my office (22c ambient) The 3090 (another EVGA FTW3 Ultra, stock cooling) that I just ripped up.. pulling 8.4Mil ppd and leveled at 58 degrees (same office as my main rig)... This one I'll let run a few days.
The points all this shit is pulling is sort-of blowing my mind.. I remember folding on my GTX480 and getting 40k ppd and thought that was amazing... Never thought I could pull nearly 20mil ppd if I ran everything balls out...
stats show as I'm at 4mil ppd that I'm 3 months from 1st... see where that sits in a few days for a stat. Vin

Hydro bill has come in, so I've shutdown the rig running the 2080Ti. I'm going to leave the 2080Super and 2060 rig up for the next little bit.

I need to shutdown the garage rig (last system, 2080s/2060). Temps outside here are already 25-32c daily.. about 1-2 months early. I can't keep the temps down so I'm shutting sown for the summer season. Vin
