with all the windows updates I've gone through, I have never had to re-install the F@H software. Only time is if I forget to delete the GPU's from the HW list before changing out the GPU's... then F@H hangs looking for that gear and the only way to fix it that I know of is to re-install. Vin I have an old version of W10 AIO installer. I'm using the pro version. I think it went through 2 major updates so far. The last one was much quicker. The first two updates where probably 20-30 minute (please wait do not turn off your computer). Is what it is though. Still chugging along, should be good now. Right now running pro version 18363.... which ever one that is. ?

If you have a PC with a current version of Windows 10 in the house, use the creator tool. it'll create a USB installer of that version for you. Or once your PC is up to date. Create an install Stick to make it easier for next time.

Something hiccupped between the main-site and Extreme, 3 AM team update disappeared (for all). User info seems to update correctly but there is about a 7m difference in the grand scores for us, was a 2m- before which was put in place during the WU shortage from what I've seen so far.

I messed up something lol
SO I increased clocks and power and the driver dropped.
Now have a work unit that is 98% completed and I'm on round two trying to complete and send.
In the mean time, when I wasn't looking, it picked up another work unit and started folding that instead.
I selected finish work unit to go idle, but that didn't happen.
lol. No idea what to do with it. haha.

You'll just have to wait it out. as for overclocking and folding. finish the WU and pause, adjust your clocks and then re-enable. I've lost a number of units when adjusting clocks due to temp.

Vin Ah Good advice Vin. I should be thinking of these things... lol. You're right after another attempt, it finished and continued. Goofy ass software.

If something fails, it defaults back to the previous checkpoint, which is typically every 2%.

Odd gremlin yesterday everything folding in the house shut down within a 10 minute period, thinking windows update but none actually showed signs of such on reboot. Even had to kill the power at the PS to get the power button to work on a couple. Got lucky had just checked the setup in the living room and it was running, dog wanted out and as I was coming back into the house noticed the VGA LEDs were out on a setup in the garage. After getting the garage going when I came in the house the living room system was down as well as the other systems in the house proper.
Guess it could of been some kind of power problem but have a couple things in the house that don't take much to have you resetting the clocks so I'm a little lost.

I had a power flicker at about 10am. My main rig is on a UPS, the garage system isn't. I turned it back on before dinner

Power problems yesterday yard guy used a shopvac to spruce up the front door entry way same circuits one of the systems in the garage is on and tripped the GFI, down about 3 hours. One in the house may be heat, been warm here mid 70s highs and not cool enough at night to help, room temp right now 27c 3:30 AM with the window open. Cranked the air movement fan up to medium and the VGAs up to 90% see what happens, have no idea how long it was down.

Hey Ales. seems if we keep up this pace we'll hit the 1B milestone you were wanting. for Feb I'll be away for work so I'll be shutting down my Daily and keeping the garage rig up. so my score will drop 1-2mil/day.

Vin, to tell you the truth I'm thinking of curtailing folding at the end of the month. Got my power bill a few days ago and my electricity catch up was about 30% higher than I was expecting from this point last year folding season. Need to get more produced than used before heavy pool pump and AC season.

30% is a bug chunk. I'm just a fraction of that and can understand. hey... for the summer... toss WB's on the GPU's and use the pool water to cool the loop.... and the GPU's will warm up the pool... hmmm.. my misses always wanted a pool heater. Vin

I'd recommend some sort of water to water intercooler if using pool water. That way you don't have to worry about gunk getting into the loop itself, which means you can easily keep the two separate.
Could even have a backup 240 or 360mm radiator in the case but not be running the fans. Wouldn't heat the pool as quickly, but when you need to do work on the external loop there's no downtime on the rig...
Or am I overthinking all of this?

Thought about using the pool a few times, way to much piping and most would be exposed and sitting on concrete which is nothing but a heat magnet if using rads in the pool.

If you have a well, try tap water. That's what I use on the bench rigs.

City water and prices ain't that different than some of the big cites around the great lakes.
Had two cards off line all night, same problem from my last power problem post but this time took out the main part of the house, guess I shouldn't of had the dishwasher running.

I have 2 rigs running for the last day or so, but looks like only one is making submissions?
Double checked, both are running work units.
Will they show up eventually?
Newely setup on the one that doesn't seem to be submittting.

Well my kid is using the PC today, so it probably reduced the work using the gpu for gaming. I closed his game and checked, it was making progress but a 343K ppd. Which means he's using up lots of Gpu power lol. I think that's what the deal is. I don't game quite much, sometimes with him on Brick Rigs and maybe some need for speed, but that's just to past time really. OK, well it will produce some extra points, just didn't think about the gamin usage lol. The kids use the damn PC all damn day long. But during the day yesterday he was doing remote learning. I'll try and restart the app next time I'm down in the living room. See what happens. All the credentials look correct however.

Anybody else getting no work units available for this configuration, half my running VGAs are setting idle.
