Hey Shrimpy, that one pic of your system at a glance looks like a Reel to Reel... I had to look at it twice.. lol

Haha yea it kinda does! I think the Delta fan is a tad overkill for the VRMs, but it really helps keep everything cool. If I hadn't a custom fan profile, the Cpu fan would never spin up!!

hi jon,
have a small doubt, is it one core/thread and any no of cores or one core & one thread. your sub is two cores two threads(first screen 4c/4t). when i read first i thought it is one core and one thread, so i did run i7 8700k 1c/1t.

Any cpu any number of cores but use only 1 thread or 1 core if ht smt is not available. You got it right.

K what Jon is doing is setting affinity to 1 core in task manager even though it shows more than 1 core in CPUz and cine its only using 1 core his scores look right for 1 core. Macsbeach98 / 7700k / @ 5500 / 2.66

Or go to preferences in cinebench and choose 1 thread. You can post all cores and threads in this fashion.

Ah Vin I have been saying that for quite a while now I have only been using it for 6 1/2 yrs. I have also got 2 new 360mm 50mm deep radiators and a case to make a new water cooling tower too. One day soon I will do it but its always in use.

EDIT: played around with it. setting affinity to 1 and just running the bench got me a score of 1.55 pretty regularly. Then Setting Affinity back to all cores and selecting 1 thread in the app got me this score pretty regularly.

Finally had some time to play with some of my stash. This is the third time I have had this X58 stated and never drove one before. Need to do more homework the RAM voltage warning kinda threw me off a bit. Johan45/ 980X-4800 MHz/ AIO/ 1.66

Yeah, that pesky thing called life. Too much going on recently retired and freed up a bit of time. Not that I had forgotten but you jogged my memory Scotty. Funny you think you're going to have all the time in the world when you're not doing the grind but that's total BS.

I concur - It's the same for me here and you think the days went by quickly then....... They go even faster now.
Guess I'll try it with my Ryzen for kicks and see what happens.
Nothing crazy with the clocks, just to have a little fun.
