I've been using that for the longest time now. It has been helpful in tuning in my ram. This is what my particular setup likes best. I had trouble getting it to work at first too, I don't remember what it is that I had to do to make it work. Maybe admin privileges did but I don't really remember off hand. This is my chips sweet spot.

have a problem with the board right now. will definitely try this one. ryzen likes fast memory and tight timings. posting 2 scores of spi32m. 1. ryzen 7 1700@ 4200mhz ram @ 1638 14-13-13-34-48-1t 8min28.405sec 2. ryzen 7 1700@ 4200mhz ram@ 1638 12-11-11-28-48-1t 8min19.357sec Attachments:

So does this app update timings? or does it give you recommendations? started reading the help sections and it's not clear to me what this is doing.Vin
EDIT: Ok, a few pages further in the thread, this app provides recommendations, you have to set them in Bios or your app of choice. crap I'm out of touch with new gear.

I use only the bios as I just don't like software clocking. I hate RyzenMaster.
The dram calculator and timing checker are very helpful. Finally got my latency down a little bit. Snappy.

Snappy. i was forced to use ryzen master. because board is useless board. don't have a manual voltage option and has offset of 0.300 and max is 1.45 to 1.47 in cpu-z can boot ryzen 7 1700 only around 4000mhz to 4040mhz. if i have to do 4200mhz etc. have to use ryzen master to push voltage. no other choice. board can do 1800 mem but ryzen master will work only with 1600 mem. so mem speed is compromised to get higher cpu clocks.

Oh my gosh, in a situation like that then yes it's good that Ryzen Master is available. It helped you to achieve what you wanted and that's awesome. In my case I found it to be very unstable/glitchy. My board clocks real well in the bios. If this board had a bios similar to a Crosshair VI it would be perfect for me. For me, the board makes all the difference.

My board is fine. Ryzen Master is no different than any other software. Use when you have too. I don't use it, it's confusing and the GUI is horrible in design. It locked cores on me and I had to reset bios to recover from it.
With this Calculator, it doesn't set any settings that I can tell. But then again it's useless to me unless I can get a decent bios update. My Ryzen 1400 clocks memory speeds better than this 2700X right now, so in search of something anything to aid in better performance, I stumbled upon this Utility. It helps me little. At 2133Mhz I should have no issues running tight timings.

I'm wondering if it's your board more than the chip?
