I know its a needle in the hay stack right now, been looking for some Apogee GT blocks. Know any sites? Did they develop/make a replacement for it? Any suggestions on an alternative universal block? Any make is fine, mainly for s478. What are you guys using on your s478? Links...Links...Links

I found a period Zalman block model # ZM-WB2 good for 462, 478 & 754, seems to work well. I'm sure it's been brought up but the board mounting holes are in a square configuration on the 478 board I have was going to measure and see if they are close to a 775's mounting holes?

trouble is with those blocks pete is the top plate and its shape can hit caps , chokes n stuff depending on the platform and its arrangements, ive had a few of them, i dont bother with them now for that reason, and frank if youre gunna buy one steer clear of the plastic topped ones, the threads crack and split easily, had that happen too, also you gotta cut the threads down on some barbs with the longer threads coz they go too far in the block and restrict water flow

Making a top hold-down plate is way way above my pay grade are resources.

If you find one of those blocks Frank take it apart and sit a 478 plastic backing plate on it and use a bit of insulated wire that will go through the holes of the backing plate and dip it in correction fluid and poke it through the backing plate holes to mark where your holes need to be exactly I would use a 3/16 bit. If the 775 or AM2 lugs get in the way as Shane said just cut them off.
Ya never know Scotty might jump in and have the link working for you.

Dont get me wrong, I have 2 apogee gt already. Its that every time team cups comes around or similar multi-platform comps I try to set up as many boards as I can so's not to have to keep changing cooling around over n over, this way allows me to return to a board to rebench when I want without haveing to start from scratch . Much easier for me since I can only really do most of my benching on Sat n Sun cause of my work hours. So I can come home and do a couple with out spending up time inter changing parts. I'm lazy like that Just a sample: Got more set ups in another room... Wife just loves that

If you copy "koolance-cpu-300-v10-waterblock" without the quotes and put it in your search xoxide will be in the results I have had a look myself.

Let me dig around Paco, I may stumble across something by doing so. BTW I've heard those chinese blocks are crap, not much better than air.
EDIT: Let me check something, if it will work I may have a solution for you.
