My board has already been modded there is a zero ohm resistor where the trimmer wires are soldered to the board. Remove the zero ohm resistor where the trimmer is soldered to the board in the pic the resistor is denoted with a 0 on it. Set the trimmer to zero ohms and solder the leads to the vacant pads where the zero ohm resistor was raise resistance to raise voltage.

Thanks, looking to use a Pentium 6500K about 4.6/7 cpu but unlocked, give up a lot in cache over a quad but should be easier on the power system. Never used DDR in the board and the high setting with DDR2 was more than enough for Cas 3 as I remember where the board would run. Have a guide that covers vCore, DDR, NB, AGP & VTT but yours are always easier to follow.

It will work trimmer is set to zero ohms all should be good.
With DDR 266 bus gives you 200Mhz mem on a 5/4 ratio so 300 bus gives 240mhz DDR.
Interesting Pentium 6500k I have used a E5800 in them before 200Bus 16X multi it did ok was good for around 4.5Ghz on water. Its Aqua so fast IPC is what you are after. The QX9650 I could only get to around 4.2 water 4.7 cold I was a bit disappointed there but looking at the database seems about right Stelaras was getting 5.3 with a epower powering the CPU.

It looks good should work good you can just open CPUz and adjust voltage while its running max is about 1.6v if you keep winding it will shut down. I probably would of liked the trimmer attached to the board other than that it looks AOK.

Need to clean up the solder joints, no resistance increase. Going to work on it today and see if I can get it working.

Nope not that I know of the VIA chipset is limited to around 300 bus there are other voltmods floating around. The reason a high multi processor is desirable or a unlocked QX9650 the boards do have their limitations.

Thanks Pete, i'll do this voltmod this week, i also found this italian website that list many other mods for this board: www.controsensi.it/Mods/4CoreDual-SATA2/Contents_Eng.htm

Yep thats the site one thing some have Ultra on the imprint on the NB chip they are the better boards to have. So we are going to bench some AGP I will tell you the Asrock AM2NF3-VSTA leaves them for dead 965Be drops straight in and clocks good 6Ghz on cold aint a problem.

I did the vmod (yes i'm a terrible welder), working well, just a few turns to reach 1.4v (high temps because i was using stock cooler). Unfortunately there is not a ultra imprint in my nb board plus it is covered with dust, i'll clean it later.

Yep thats the pro not the ultra there isnt a lot of difference between them though. Your modding of the cards will get you further

While the board is nice with a vcore voltmod, its not exactly great for quads under LN2. So I added an epower. Since I had to remove some caps on the front to get good powerplanes exposed, I had to go for some tricks on the back of the board... Now it just needs vagp modded, but gonna do that in a couple days. Board is booting like this already which means I'm getting somewhere
