Vdimm mod. 1 - Set the memory voltage to 2.6v in the BIOS. 2 - Using the multimeter, check the resistance of the trimmer. Make sure it's set at 1k. 3 - Cut the wire with the desired length and strip it, then solder it on the trimmer pins. The solder method here is the same: tin then wire, put a small amount of solder on it, and solder to the pin. (you may need a bit more of solder here) 4 - Solder one end to the ground point at the screw hole on the mobo. Since this area is stronger than the resistor, I suggest soldering the ground first. 5 - Using the same method as described for your practice, solder the other wire to the resistor. Solder only one connection - the right side - of the resistor as shown in the pictures. 6 - Check your work with the magnifying lens to make sure nothing is shorting. 7 - Now just glue the trimmer to your desired spot To measure your vdimm with a DMM so you can tweak your voltage using your newly installed trimmer, positive lead goes on "effective vdimm" point, negative lead goes to ground. VTT mod Pic is self explanatory. VTT should read 1/2 of your Vdimm.

VDD mod RESISTOR METHOD Set VR to maximum resistance first. PENCIL METHOD Measure the resistance first. Using a #2 pencil, stroke the top or side of the resistor. Measure the resistance again. Every 30-40 Ohm drop equals roughly a .1v increase in VDD (NB volts). Active cooling for anything over 1.8v is a must. Over 2.0v in not recommended. Read points for VDD.

It doesnt matter if the board is -S or not -S? i'm thinking that the -S version just has a sata controller, i'm asking because i found an NF7 V2.0 cheaply and i'm going to mod it as i did to my NF7-S V2.0
