I'm looking for a p4c800e-deluxe but still couldn't find one for a reasonable price. Instead i found a good condition p4v800d-x,it has via pt880 ultra in NB and via 8237R+ in SB. Tbh i'm a little concerned about this Via chipsets.. What do you guys have to tell me about it in terms of overclockability and stability?

P4C800E-Deluxe is the board a good substitute is the P4P800E-Deluxe or a P4P800SE the P4C is 875 chipset the P4P is 865PE chipset.
I dont know anything about the P4V and probably wouldnt pay any attention to it but that is just me.

the p4c800e-deluxe and the abit ic7-max 3 are apparently the holy grail of the 478 socket boards, i have both, ive had better luck with the abit, im not sure about the P4v800D-X, the other boys will be able to tell you, i can say this tho, some just dont like sata drives, the abit i had no dramas with, the deluxe gave me all sorts of headaches , it just didnt want it, so it was ide , cd included to get it to play

No.
Thanks everyone for the inputs, the 875 chipset is really hard to find here. A friend of mine told me he may have a p4p800se somewhere in his store, depending on the condition of the board i'll pick it.

P4P800 SE is a very good option, go for it. Asus 865PE boards are pretty close to 875P.

Well I say its bound to be better than a P4S8X. That board was a pain to get working with a radeon 9700 pro till a beta bios came out and ulps or w/e mode was had to be changed in the bios.
875P/865PE are the top 478 chipsets but I wouldnt be surprised if via PT800/880 chipset held its own.
