I'm totally not winning. I've been using Rufus for years. I've never had it not work.
Now since I've downloaded the Tiny OS's, I can't make a good USB to save my life. Tiny 7 would load but couldn't detect any disk I had installed.
Now I'm trying Tiny XP, and it doesn't matter what ISO I have, they all end up with an EULA missing error and the setup cancels..
I've also tried the Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool and it tells me all the ISO's I point to aren't valid ISO files. so I'm on the hunt for a new app as I'm tired of not winning.
so what are you guys using?
Vin

For UEFI systems you can simply format USB in FAT32 and extract the ISO to the flash drive.

This boots up, but I'm missing a step in the WinXP process.. - I run step 1 - Select mass storage drivers (1 in the selection) - then select to not load to memory - select to reboot - - but here it doesn't reboot and it starts the install and can't detect any SATA disks so I manually reboot (F3 in install) - reboot and select step 2 - - greeted with a HDD detect error then a "Missing Operating System" error how is this expected to re-boot between step 1 and 2 and maintain what happened in step 1? some of the menu's pop-up quickly and flash forward, I think I'm missing something there. But I don't see what. any insight would be helpful. Thanks for this help. Vin

You boot to the flash drive when the screen comes up you select step 1 and it will load the ISO into memory (it installs from the ram) and the first part of the install will start if you are installing XP in IDE mode on X58 you shouldnt have to press F6 to load sata drivers. It will go through the the first part of the install you format the disk and it will copy files to the disk just like the CD does then it will reboot and you select step 2 and it will load the ISO to ram again then go on with the install. Its fast you will never want to install from a CD again.
If you want I will link yumi 2 its easier to set up a flash drive with but wont work with tinyXP I think it might with Benchzowners though.

I am using Benchzowners XP. I didn't realize that step 1 should run though the install and it's on the install reboot that you go to step 2. But regardless I can't get that far, the install still isn't seeing my SSD's (but am seeing the EULA ). I'm starting to think something happened to my board what's not helping me is working 12-14hr days and trying to get something done before going to bed, my patience level by that time is a little low. Thanks Mac Vin

Can you see the drive in the Bios? I remember seeing it on bootup, the drive was listed. I'll do a bios reset and try it again tonight, thanks Mac Vin

You can also try Poweriso. Has quite a few methods to make a bootable USB drive work. Never used it with an XP based ISO but I've had good success with Vista / seven / 8 and 10 for customized ISOs and bootable USB drives.
