what do you mean by active cooling on the mosfets? some heat sinks and a Fan?

Even just a fan is ok.

I'd never think of doing that... Vin

it hasnt been drilled vinnie, i checked it when it came, i took it off and replaced the tim under it as i do regardless of any card i get, 90% of the cards the tim is always gone hard, its original, theres no holes been drilled, maybe coz you see that other hole next to it, thats for the original cover it had on it i think coz theres about 6-7 other holes , i think maybe for a full cover water block

Thermal tape and thermal pad are 2 different things the thermal tape from Jaycar is sticky the thermal pad has no glue on it at all and is what you see on the memory chips of standard coolers. You cant put small heatsinks on memory or mosfets with thermal pad they dont stick the cooler has to hold them in place.

I'm on the fence whether I'll use the thermal pads and copper plating or if I'll use the small heat-sinks and thermal adhesive. I also need some new thermal pads for my PS3 project, so it's a 2 in 1 order Vin
