only ever tried it once b4 on a set of ddr2 ballistixs, i ripped the chip off 1 so stopped , just didnt know what to do, so i have 2 sets of ddr kingstons here, thought id try again, so i spoke to pete and he said use a hairdryer, havent got 1, gave them up yrs ago, even tho a full head of hair still, lol . so i said if i heat the oven to 100c and leave them in to be good to touch will that work, he said yep, and it did like a beauty, left em in for 2 mins i reckon and if the heatsink tape wasnt coming smoothly i put em back for a another 30 secs, still good to the hand to handle then off they came , the 3200's had double tape on 1 side and theyre single sided chips on the stick not double sided chips like the 4000's, looks like now theres gunna be quite a few delidded ram sticks happenin here to see what they got in em lol the KHX4000/5I2R have hynix chips- HY5DU56822BT-D5 the kingston KHX3200AK2/512 have Quimonda HYB250256800CE-S chips im em dunno if either are any good but pretty happy i got the spreaders off without pullin a chip off like my first go at it with the ballistix
