i refuse to pay this sort of money for a cpu that was released on the... Launch Date Q2'14, so to me thats the 4th month on of 2014 or from april 2014 onwards, regardless if theyre the best cpu ever made for the 1150 socket

Bitcoin is done on cards (Radeons) not the CPU its just blown out prices for something that isnt easy to buy new now. I would rather have a 8700k for bitcoin.

I don't think it's the Bitcoin folks, 4790K last upgrade for the socket so anybody trying to get the concept of a little more life out of their systems are probably keeping the prices up, especially if coming from a fixed multi. Here the 4770K isn't that far off the 4790K in the bid only offerings.

The CPU just runs the OS and the Mining GUI, it's the GPU's that do all the work. AMD GPU's are the best, always have been. But lately I'm seeing a lot of Rigs go for sale on Ebay with GTX1060-1080Ti's... this confuses me a bit. I know that nVidia stepped up their game in Shaders, but still not to the tune of what AMD's are capable of.. and for the price too.... If I was mining, I'd rather have 4 Vega's or RX580's than 1060's-1080's... Price to Performance is key. Vin

you wouldnt damn well believe this, just went into ebay and this was there, was only a new listing, guess i was johnny on the spot, so i jumped on it straight away, offered the guy 380 and delivered, he said yes, i think this is a pretty fair and honest response from the guy too, im happy as a pig in shit at the moment, im hoping its not a run of the mill 4790, but time will tell Looks like it was fate that you bought it haha. Yeah I try to be as transparent as possible. Because I know if I was spending a lot of money on something, I would want to know all about it. You'll love it and if you have any questions. Please don't hesitate to contact me. I'll send first thing Monday www.ebay.com.au/itm/Intel-i7-4790k-AS-NEW/152827672475?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
