lapping my Koolance CPU pot

so today I decided to go ahead and start lapping this pot and omfg is it bad I didnt notice it at 1st but it has always had a dip right in the center and it was so bad you could even see it in the nickel but this is what I have got so far been using 220 on it the pack came with 220 400 800 and 1000 and if you are wondering what the spot is on it that is where I took a grinder to it to shave it down so it didnt hit caps on asus and gig 775 mobos

ShrimpBrime yours is next before I send it back to ya its got a spot in it and it drives me nuts to send it back to ya with it like that LOL esp after letting me use it so long

as you can see in the 1st pic here it has a super low spot in middle even with nickel on it

thanks it was bad real bad had super low spot in center I didnt notice it at 1st but I did once I got looking close and was tilting it at diff angles in the light

sweet. how are you doing it? sandpaper sitting on a piece of glass? I've done this a few time with success but have also see people butcher this.

yea I used a piece of glass from a table top and bought a pack of 4 sheets of wet/dry sandpaper 220 400 800 1000 came in the pack worked really good prob could have used like 120 or some shit to start with but the 220 cut good as long as the paper was kinda fresh (used 3M paper) took a few hours but I got it done
