How did you know you could increase the shader count on the GPU? was that due to the updated firmware? how did you know the HW would be OK?

How did you know you could increase the shader count on the GPU? was that due to the updated firmware? how did you know the HW would be OK? Vin Since I made this in the past and been good. However some 10 mhz loss occured on gpu what is bench stable and also some screen blink seen but pretty rare and just for a moment. That could work on every 6800Xt but only Agp versions. If I know right. Gpu can unlocked from 12/5 till 16/6 level what is built to gt's and ultra's. If You have a bit luck. But that top ones working such higher freqs that this small unlocking trick can't be any game changing nut free performance. Leading or not leading any decent thing, You should bring it up. However seeing more gpuz pics, maybe its not basically being a Gt has any clock improvements. There are low clocked and also really higher clocker screens through the net. hmm....

I guess its just a bug since the mem is untouched, unlock only a few parts in the gpu.

That is not an uncommon bug certain versions of GPUz on the same setup will show completely different bandwidths I have seen that plenty of times before. In bot comps its like how come someone is getting nearly double the bandwidth of me change the GPUz vers. to the one he is using problem fixed.

No idea what it is with me and P45 boards. I just can't help it.

Ah EP45T-Extreme I am setting one of those up tonight for a test run then strip it down and insulate it for cold. One thing I dont like is that you cant get the battery out without taking the heatsink assembly off. I have got a few boards I want to clean up and insulate for teams cup the ones with Vaso on them are a pain to clean up.

Oh I don't have a T-Variant yet. Was looking at DDR2 mostly, which is not fast but I feel like I want to stick with it. Like I owe it to the technology that I have been using longer in my life then any of the alternatives. I'm mostly tending to the teenager that I was back then, looking at all the highspeed stuff but could never afford any of it. Not even had the chance to see something like this in person, but now I can

The heatpipes on yours come out of the mosfet heatsink and bend straight away the ones on this come straight out and bend right over the battery. For DDR2 I will be using a Rampage Formula or maybe a EP45-UD3P depending on the processor required. Vinster: You aint recommending I use Canadian butchery and bend those heatpipes. Dont worry I have already bent the outer one up a bit.

Yep, that will work. Or just have another battery holder and simply solder the wires from the new to the contact points in the old one, insulate the old holder and so on. Either way works.

Yep Australian Butchery remember Vin I cut the heatpipe off on my REX when I insulated it so a slight bend doesnt worry me. Also I know where there are 2 more EP45T-Extreme's that are dead so a replacement isnt hard to come by

Damn this board doesnt save CMOS settings once the power is turned off. At least I can get another for parts. Will probably use the EP45T-UD3R for teams cup. One stage wants P35 chipsets too probably use P35-DS4 or P35-DS3P there.

I love my EP45T-Extreme even if it's a finicky, oh so picky board. Gi e him right, and boy does he go like a bat out of hell.
He isn't too happy about being in the drawer right now, but such is such right now.

Yep its a bugger to find this out I will get a dead one from Slaughter for spares and to trace with and compare. But for now bring on the replacement I hope Stefan comes through with a REX for me these are the bus clock champions but thats where it ends. With one stick loosely timed they are super but with 2 sticks in and get them to run at speed and tight and its all over the REX smashes the tripe out of them. The NB water block I have had before I became a bencher new in the box it took a lot of digging around to find. Just a quick play now its time to insulate this board.

Nah, the EP45T-Extreme will stay in there for now, got too much on the go in real life right now. As for the P5N32_SLI... Uhm, you mean the board that was an utter nightmare to try and bench?

Good question, I can think of two reasons: A) More surface area and B) ability to insert plugs like control rods in nuclear power plants

Now that's done I believe I'm ready to do my thing for TC.
