Got bored and made a quick vid of what goes on out at the shack when I'm benching. You'll have to visit the vid's link since it's unlisted, it won't play if you simply click onto it here. Just copy it's URL, paste and go..... Or just click onto the Youtube logo at the bottom right when it appears after trying to play it. Showing off the fans I use and perhaps this will give someone an idea of what they could do. Enjoy the sneak peek!

Hehe madman Car heater fan? Will look later on the video. I had considered the 250mm bathroom extraction fans for the 9x120mm Moarads here These are old hand dryer fans. Got these when the heater elements/controllers went bad and the entire unit was to be tossed. Naturally they took a detour on their way to the dump and ended up here. Disabled the heating elements, disabled any controllers and straightwired the fans with a cord to make 'em go. BTW remember the one on my cooling tower? Yep - Same thing as these. I've had these for several years now and 0 probs with them.

Thanks to sharing this with us ! I think it's pretty a good idea to show how we are benching ! It's quite an interesting thing be able to have a look to each others "secret lab" ! Ps.: And I thought that my chiller is loud. :DDD

Ps.: And I thought that my chiller is loud. :DDD No real secrets here - I simply took advantage of my job at the time to get these. Knew I woudn't have many chances to grab fans like these if any at all and made the best of it while I could. Yeah - These fans can get on your nerves but worth it.

Mr. Scott ATM (Shipped with Mac's boards for Mac to use) has one of my chipset coolers I made for my NF chipsets, works with any of them but best used with NF2 and 3 because of how it's made. BTW, once you receive it Mac let me know how it works for you and if you like it or not.
It's heavy enough (Thick, all copper cooler) that I don't have to bolt or screw it in place, it's weight alone is enough to let it work as it should. I just apply the TIM, swirl/wiggle it around to spread it out and coat the surfaces of the cooler and chipset then bench while letting it sit there on it's own. For NF4 it needs a retainer/boltdown bar for sure to keep it squarely on the core and in reality it works best actually bolted down regardless. Note the board has to be lying flat or it can't be used this way, must be screwed/bolted in place if the board is standing or anything like that.
Didn't have a spare mounting bar to send when shipped but any piece of metal with long screws and nuts/thumbscrews can be used for that purpose.
Yep - If I have the material/tools I can probrably make it myself.

Alpi is that your TEC chiller on the ground. Its bigger than I thought it would be. Here is my 8800GTX sub that never made it data file was corrupt. Epower FTW once I get the voltage sorted out I am stuck at 1.6v max. Dont know anyone that will sell me a EVBot?

Yes, it's my old pal, the tec chiller is on the left. Ahh, really sorry for Your sub. You had a lot of work with it I'm sure. This "corrupt" thing can be annoying. You don't think things like that when You benching and concentrate to the stuff. I think You should turn off systeminfo, maybe that's the main reason of the corrupt data file. These hwbot softwares really needs some update I think. Am3 and Heaven became more and more buggy. And what bugs, god... or anyway, these benchmarks became pretty useless / or even simply incompatible with the newer stuffs. :/

Dont know anyone that will sell me a EVBot? iamSneaky member AKA mat ........ on my OCAU friends list. He's in Melbourne. But he asked $200 for his Evbot. He loves the overclocking though, I could try again & see if he'll lower his price. Should I ask him Mac's?

This came in today. Grabbed it for under $46 US, shipped and it was from a seller local to me. They said the card hasn't been used much at all since new and they were the original owners and it sure looks that way. Traces of dust on the fanblades and that's really all I see, I don't believe it was even cleaned up for the sale, packed and sent out as it was. Speaking of packing, you probrably could have punted the box and never would have hurt the card. It was almost mummified with protective packaging so it wasn't going to be damaged so easily from shipping.... I was happy to see it that way. Next up of course is to double-check it and have a little fun.

Yes, that's why when I saw it I jumped all over it. I normally see these going for twice that and nearly all of those aren't in the US when I do, just got lucky and spotted it before someone else did. The seller had listed it early that same morning and I happened to be poking around when I stumbled onto it.

Great score Rodney I am on my 3rd HD3850 AGP 1 Powercolor and 2 Sapphires the core in the power color clocked the highest but the memory was shit. I have got the 3D03 record for them when Old School is finished I will set the AM2NF3-VSTA up with the 965Be cold and take the other records with it.

Just a heads up - The seller contacted me and was asking if the one I got was OK, said he had another like it to sell but wanted to hear if this one was any good before he puts it up for auction. I'll test it tomorrow since I had a run of 12's to work but now have a couple of days to do this. Once it's done and I've sent my reply I'll let you guys know about it along with if the card works or not.

My little bench room It has been devoted 24/7 to bench for the last few years so this room is ALWAYS a total mess. Love the name...but wish the taste was better...its a bit bottom-shelf-ish

There's only x1 decent machine now Ozz, bottom right. 7350K in it has been mostly ignored & now I'm trying it out. I've had a few attempts to reorganize this corner. Gone are the mb's on the wall, that I was benching. Only interested to run gpu's in that machine. Then sort my storage on the drives < needed badly > It can pull forward easy to get around the back. Cooling there's 2x140 & 3x140 Aqua rads in it. LoL 65deg maxed no fans __________ Then the box above top right can serve as a general testing box. __________ Very much have an idea to try a few smaller screens. Perhaps it can improve scores? No idea, I'm always on the 1080P one. Then left of the main screen. 1.4 mtr of upright is perfect for a few test boards. It will work good I think for a small space. Seriously uncomfortable before

yeah i get you havent a lot of room, so why not set up a bench platform on the table ..easier all the way round for everything is all im meaning to change what you want , it would give you a lot more room for other stuff from what i see

Stuff always in the way ... shifting ... double shifting. Horizontal surfaces always premium. It will happen " the biggest bad bench " eventually

I'm fortunate to have the space I do, completely dedicated to benching and not in the way of other things. Also since it's outside the home itself nothing I do affects daily living or even computing useage like it did before at the old place. I can use it for that or as a work area and I do use it for work sometimes. In fact I have a project right now I need to tackle and it's the perfect place to do it - Only thing that would make it better would be for it to actually be part of the home yet not part of it as in an ajoining building/room like a garage. May not have any heat but I made sure it has AC at least.
If I were to do some work it could be made alot more comfortable and may do that one day.
