Vin ive seen a bit of the goodwill centres stuff for sale b4, not too often tho , from memory the prices didnt go hard on the other items ive seen, its cheap enough if it stays close to where it is, i spose a few people will get full bellies again if someone buys it |

The goodwill is for a good cause. It's not so much for food, it's more for clothing and shelter. The headquarters is located in the city here. It has been one of my bigger accounts for about 15 years. It is actually owned by ABVI (Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired). Trish uses their services as they are the specialists in the area.
By the way, Trish is my wife.....and she's legally blind. Not 'in the dark' blind but close.

i was so close to buying that board , even set up justsnipe and made a bid and set it, then had another look at it, no fan on the NB made me think , is there or has there been a problem with the NB for the fan to be taken off, so i cancelled the bid,

the auction has ended. I hope who ever got it has a good board.
when I get rid of boards (working or not) i always pull the HS's. I just assumed this was that case.

Vin i decided to not bid, i dont see the point of pulling the heatsink and fan off a working board if its going up for sale as a working board, the problem with this board is it wasnt known if its a worker or not, all it says is "previously owned" and Condition: Untested with full functionality unknown, in used condition with general cosmetic wear. All included items are shown in photos. |

They wouldn't had done that and people donating items don't usually donate broken items.. missing parts is another story.. lol Vin yeah i get that vinnie, i know goodwill wouldnt have touched the board, but i dont get someone donating a product, supposedly working with a NB heatsink and fan off it, that just threw me off it, i know the dfi NB fans can be a bit dicky, i just pulled the fan off the venus coz it was on and off and needed a finger spin at times, a quick spray of wd40 just fixed that up, anyway someone got it which is good for goodwill themsleves and also hope they get a good board, not hard to get another NB fan and heatsink to fit it or even get an original at times. ive seen them for sale b4 |

that would have been a nice little deal I have bought stuff from GW before that is where I got my current P5B Deluxe well worth the cause they do a lot for people in need thats for sure
