Figured I'd put this out there as a warning. Shane, this is an update as to what's going on with your pump. There is a design flaw in the new Alphacool pumps. Primarily the VPP755 and VPP655 models. I'll link a thread here. www.overclock.net/t/1624192/alphacool-vpp755-noise/0_100It's not just pump noise. Given time it will actually lock up the pump and kill the motor. It doesn't take long either. Type of coolant makes no difference. Alphacool is using that as a scapegoat even though the same thing happens on just plain water. My vendor is getting static from Alphacool about the RMA's. Shane, your's is not the only one. Alphacool is not owning up to their mistake. My vendor is pretty much getting ready to drop the line because of the lack of customer service on Alphacools end. Shane, my vendor will not substitute another pump because of what's going on with Alphacool. They are out of stock on the Phobya pumps you wanted and are pretty much dropping that line too. My best advice, as soon as you get the RMA from me, don't open it, just sell it for whatever you can get. Your RMA is on it's way to my vendor and me right now. I should probably see it this week if everybody keeps up their end of the bargain.

ahh i see scotty, thx for that and all youve done for me what a PITA for everyone, mine made that noise that they posted in the vids but not all the time tho, my noise was like a rattle sound, like an imbalance, i was constantly checking thinking i had air in it somewhere, and hes got Phobya probs too, well i musta got a good one coz the Phobya DC12-400 i have is a beauty these mobs just dont get it, if they honoured their gear and looked after their customer base, refunded the buyers or replaced the faulty item with a new item, cover costs, they would keep business, now when this gets out in the water cooling world full on no one will want to buy Alphacool pumps in fear of no support if and when they have a problem

Interesting link you posted above Scotty apparently these Alphacool pumps are not Genuine Laing D5's No wonder everyone is having trouble with them. I have got 2 Swiftech branded D5's with the Acetel top with the molded barbs one is over 6 yrs old and the other I bought second hand 4 and a 1/2 years ago and have never had a problem with either of them.

ah righto scotty thx man, good idea, alphacool is advertising these pumps as D5's as they're doing but it says (D5 variants) on their site when you click on liquid cooling, does that mean its branded from something else ?
this has turned out to be a right pain in the arse for us both scotty, and i dont want you spending any money either, i want to know of any costs youve incurred over this bullshit

Not really. I will never buy one of their products again. I'm less than thrilled at their CS.
