these are some mods I found for a BFG GTX 260 this is actually a GTX 275 pic but they both have the same chip and setup Mods performed: ADP4100.pdf (266k. pdf file) [/ATTACHMENT][/spoiler] Stock resistance is 2.9kΩ. 2900 x 20 = 58000 ≈ 50KΩ. Connect a 50KΩ VR between FB (PIN 18) and GND. Stock resistance is 700Ω. 700 x 20 = 14000 ≈ 20kΩ. Connect a 20kΩ VR between FB (PIN 4) and GND (PIN 12 or any GND). Read points:

Are you soldering the wires on or using that glue? Its a bit hard to tell. Also what are you gluing your trimmers on with.

I glued the trimmers on with hot glue and I soldered all of it no glue anywhere on there lol I am putting a voltage readout plug on now why is hot glue bad?? still trying to find the right readout points for mem and gpu

Vin Im having trouble finding a place with the voltage readout points for this card blah if I dont find those I wont really know how much voltage is going to this thing I think the spot I was gonna solder to was the right one but I dunno I think I need to solder it and boot it up and check it once it has a little bit more load on it and see

usually you set the trimmer for max resistance prior to power up. then once there you plug in, power up and while on, you trim down to your desired voltage. but you need that read out...
when I set the trimmer initially I'd load up the bios screen and do it while in there. lots of time, no rushing and no real load.
I would also usually put a maintained switch inline so if I wanted too, disconnect the trimmer and go back to stock volts... handy if you went too far and though you damaged something.

Vin yea I never thought about that is a good idea but yea I set both the trimmers to max resistance before I put them on so it should me stock voltage I am gonna power it up tomorrow and see I did measure one spot and it was giving me close to stock bootup voltage I will see once I get it in the bios what it reads

3D voltage is different to bootup voltage start a bench and adjust your trimmer while its running in 3D.

Okay I would probably have to see the front of the card to find a proper reading point the output of the chokes is what you want.

Okay I would probably have to see the front of the card to find a proper reading point the output of the chokes is what you want. ok I will pull the cover back off and take pics of it I cant find the mem or gpu read points no where online and my XFX 8800GT I got doesnt have the primaron controller so it looks like I am gonna have to figure this one out on my own but someone taught me the basics of finding the right pin from the chip and what to do that is how I did the GTX 260 I took info from a MSI GTX 260 twin frozr since they both have the same controllers

You just want the output from one of the Phase chokes or near a capacitor. Regardless of the controller used you measure from the same point on most cards. The VRM goes like this Controller / Pair mosfets / Choke / smoothing caps / GPU. You want to measure at the output of the choke / positive of the smoothing cap.

I found out where it is there is 2 little solder dots on the back that is the only place on the back you can get a reading from the yellow circle is the only spot where the caps show on the back that I can see if not I will have to solder a wire from the front caps to my read place

I have marked the Mem spots in Blue and the GPU spots in Green. If you can support the card and put one probe on one of the GPU spots and measure continuity to spots on the back of the card you will find a spot there is a small cap just above the bios sticker next to the screw that would be a good spot to solder a tail onto if it is a VGPU point. Do the same with the mem spots. You will notice the board was designed for six GPU phases but only 4 are populated in production a cost cutting measure. I run Universal waterblocks on all mine so its easy to just solder a tail onto the missing choke solder point.

yea I dont have a waterblock yet still trying to pick one out that will fit on all of them I am gonna work on my 8800 GT next it has a totally different voltage controller then the stuff you posted but I already got the beginnings worked out I found the FB pin on the controller and tracked it to a place I can solder I just need to figure out what size VR to put on it Im not sure how you guys figure that part out

You should be able to find one of these cheap enough. www.xs-pc.com/waterblocks-gpu/raystorm-gpuThhey are pretty universal fits most cards. This trimmer on the 8800GT its not a RT4100 is it? Anyway measure the resistance to ground and multiply it by 20 and get the closest trimmer above that value. If the feedback resistance is over 20K they usually are not feedback trimmer friendly and using a trimmer on feedback can result in disaster. Then we have to use another method like the Vsense+ pin if its suitable too.

Ohhh that might need a vid mod. What is the feedback pin resistance? I think you might be right the resistance was 39.2 on the 200k setting that means 40k ohm right? so I cant mod it there then and the mem controller I have yet to figure out where it is
