That's an outstanding price for a Drew built system. I wish he would come here. I haven't talked to him in a long time. Drop my name the next time you see him.

he helped me build it yes the rigs usually run $800+ when he builds them him self. this was a joint project. i traded him some hardware for the compressor and paid him for his time and other parts. (friend to friend) when i get back from Tennessee he's going to help me tidy up the wiring and he's making a cover for it. A case of beer and two nights this weekend we got most of it done. its all tuned using 410a and propane. with the old unit i was able to hit 5.6 on the PD945 (1.6v) testing it last night with my bench rig i got to 5.9ghz on 1.8 volts. 1.8 volts brought the old rig to its knees. he's already hinting at me going cascade which might be viable in the future.
this means i gatta redo all the core2's now lol.
i mentioned to him about joining the team he kinda wants to stay where he's at FOR NOW at least. but he did say that if the team needs help he's willing to help cause both Scott and Me have helped him out in the past.
slowly but surly he's getting bit by the benching bug.

i was never able to hit 1.8 volts on pressler's unless i was using DICE or LN. 6+ ghz on core 2's and pentiums seems within range now. if not i will probably go cascade. hope the wall outlet is ready for the anal reaming it might get. this new unit consumes 580 to 600 watts lol

Time to upgrade the service panel with 30 amps instead of 20. Wires too, check the gauge!

Very nice. I was considering one SS myself but ended up in DICE. NO NOISE.
LN2 is the juice though. -190. Brrr....

thanks!. i have done a little LN myself and a lot of DICE. the nice thing about the ss is its a constant. just flip it on and sit down. not as cold as dice or LN but its getting cpu's to do what i want them to do lol

Yep. don't have to ride 15 kilometers to get some dice in a styrobox exact same day i want to OC so it doesn't all melt. SS is for sure more practical for frequent use...

I will get pics up soon. Got the cover built all that is left is sealing up the accumulator, building a grill for the condenser, and wiring. I believe its ready to rock and roll. Drew made an awesome cover, white with black accents.

use you imagination lol. got some testing to do and then i should be good to go this weekend i think. ordered some red cathodes that i will put in later. testing is to try to figure out why its taking an extended amount of time to pull down to -68c. probably due to this shitty Chicago land weather. it is 75% bullets in the air here lmao and hasnt been run in a while so there is a good chance im getting some pooling. wiring is done, sealing the accumulator tonight, and running a few test (alla load tester and varriac). then i will clean the bench and set her up probably tomorrow night, and get to posting pics there is a lot of them.
im thinking of naming it the polak. its white with black accents and has red lighting lol

well I am down for a bit. in the 2 weeks after Andrew and me first tuned it, it took a good 15 mins to pull down to -68c. we suspected a schrader valve (when you disconnect high side valve has a tendency to float and you could loose a bit of charge and 410a us picky) the other culprits could have been condenser, or high pressure cut off.
We tuned it a second time and the very next day i took it for a good run and the accumulator would sweat but would not ice up. Definite sign of a leak. Andrew left behind Gas Leak Detector (stuffs thick like rhino spooge) so i took it back down and went to the garage with it and went over everything.
Turns out its where the High Pressure cut out and Valve meet. Used a Sealer but it didn't take.
will be a few more days then i will set up a build log here and EOCF (Gatta give Andrew Credit where Credit is due and the guy Breeds these things)
