Is any one here familiar with W10 hot swapping from AMD hardware to Intel?
Asking because in a few months i'd like to upgrade her system with my existing one. I plan to re-use the same video card she has now, so that shouldn't be an issue. But I don't feel like installing a new OS for her if it's not needed.
Has any one done this?

Most the time when you swap from amd to Intel CPUs or then other way you have to reinstall win I'm not sure with win10 tho VGA wont matter ita the CPU change that messes with windows

Actually I've had tons and tons of luck with W7 and hot swapping for benchmarking. Most of my problems was going from AMD to NVidia video cards, had to ditch the drivers before the swap.
But have not done it with W10 quite yet and just want to see if any one has done it successfully or not. However I am prepaired to do a fresh install, but she runs a small business from her PC and I do not want to change anything she has going for her with that if you know what I mean. I did a little googling, it seems I find it can be swapped, but most of the time with similar hardware like Intel to Intel or AMD to AMD.

W10 is just as forgiving as W7 was, except you WILL have to call and re-activate it. W10 keys off of all the hardware so when you change any hardware it will balk.

She's using my free developers copy of W10. I never used a key or was given one. Hmm. I may have to check my Microsoft account, perhaps I have a key there. Thanks for the heads up Scotty.

If she's getting regular updates there will be a key of some kind there. Try a key finder and see what it comes up with.

Will do! I'm sure there's a key. The Beta testers used the beta version for the free legit copy which is really nifty!
