Asus M5A78L MX Plus over-volt hacking-
This is a perfect little cheap motherboard to do your Deep Freeze overclocking and Phenom II and FX processors. The board is limited in the bios, but you can trick it with AMD OverDrive.
The trick is with turbo mode being enabled and disabled via AOD and not in bios. Once turbo is enabled, you increase the turbo voltage to a max setting and apply. Then turn off Turbo mode. Proceed your over-volting through AMD OverDrive and enjoy over 2.0v of current to your processor. For the sake of a 4 VRM motherboard, it may be wise to turn off all but two cores when doing this to prevent any problems and enjoy a max overclock in this fashion.
The video will show how high the CPU voltage carries through AMD OverDrive and CPU-Z and a small 6300mhz overclock.
LN2 Only!! -->
Enjoy.

The most recent version released. DL right from AMD.
It may work with earlier versions as well. Most of the recent (2014 and newer) updates are bios code access and cpu updates. The program layout and features haven't changed in years now.

K. 4.31, I have it already. Some AOD versions don't work on a couple of my boards. The 790X-UD4P is particularly picky. Only version 4.05 works on it.

Yea it's strange the M5A board above uses the 760G chipset but supports all the cpus from Phenom I to current FX.
I had a file somewhere of some of the earliest AOD downloads. No idea where it's at lol.
