So it's really not a GPU contest.

It is but you will usually do better with a faster CPU.
I have a DCUII 770 will get some subs up in the next day or two.

Do not simlpyfy things that much folks.

There are 7 different cpu-mems setup settings for the full 3D benchmarks coverage.

As a more global approach.

Those of us that invested a few thousand dollars on LGA 1700 platform for motherboards, cpus and memory sets saw huge returns points wise.

LGA 1700 will be EOL in a couple of months.
AMD is also upping their game with their refresh series ( 9950X and 9950X3D among many other models ).

I would strongly discourage anyone ( cough..cough Scotty ) to invest NOW money to these outgoing platforms.

Currently, the name of the game is wait and see.

He doesn't have to invest any money. 

I'll send him a 13700K. If he wants, I have yet to receive a response about it yet, I feel he's not that interested.

I’ve used a GTX-295, 590, and 690. I haven’t started benching my ATI/AMD cards :-)
