I chose to sell the AX8 and get a 775 board for benching. I want to bench mostly netburst CPUs, I'm not looking to bench core2. I know the rampage is the best board to get but I was looking to get something cheaper and something you can buy lol.
If I recall some boards don't like the lower 533FSB of some netburst CPUs. Would anyone have any suggestions for a board ? or would any p45 or x48 broad be a good match?

For netburst, more likely x38

Gigabyte P45 will not work properly with Netburst CPU as in P4 or PD you will not be able to adjust voltage.
Asus are Ok better with X38 or P35 though the only X48 would be P5E3 Premium.

Second P35 if you want something cheap. Did you ever manage to find a 790i board? That should work as well.

Thanks for the tips. I'll look for p35 and x38 boards. And not thundrstone I dd not find anther 790i board, those things are stupid expensive anymore. There is on on eBay for around 150$ but for 150$ it would need to be supper clean and it is not.
