Closed on a new home today. It's bigger and better than what I've got now, meaning I have more space for..... Stuff. These are from when the seller was still living there but shows off how nice it is. Here's a few pics of the place: Den and kitchen area.webp (201.83 KB) Kitchen.webp (159.88 KB) Back deck.webp (229.2 KB)

Congrats Rodney. Enjoy in good health with God's help. Thank you George. God was more than help, he made it happen and I'm blessed with this. I now have some repairs to do here on this home, it's a good home but the new one is just better and that's one reason why we went for it. Speaking of repairs, that will take some time to get done and then it's time to get it sold. It already has a roof that's less than 2 years old (Due to what I had posted earlier about a roof leak) and the entire AC system was replaced this past fall too, so that really adds value to the home and should help to get a decent amount out of it. As for the new home: It's larger too and now the wife and I can be under one roof with dad to take care of him instead of her having to "Live" with him and myself having to be here. Once the old home sells there is another bonus - No mortgage payments to worry about. It's paid for in full - That's the best part of it. Only thing now is to get to that point.

You will get there. No stress, build a master plan and follow it step by step. I am very glad for you, your wife and dad. Family above all.

That was the plan. With the new digs, at least I won't have to be in an outbuilding to do anything if I don't want to be BUT there are three of them instead of one like it is here. Since I'll have a room to myself, I guess that can become the new "Crypt" for me.

The listing when I saw it said it was a 2644 Sq Ft home and after it was delisted (Shown as sold) said it was a 2787 Sq Ft home. The one I'm in ATM is shown to be a 1973 Sq Ft home so that's a decent upgrade in space available. The home sits on 6.7 acres of land too - Now I have room to build a shop like I've always wanted too and best of all, it's not in a neighborhood like this one is. I could build one here but I woudn't have much room left and would also have to build it on a downhill slope. This place has what I need without having worry about that - Nice and flat where I want it.
