Guess that qualifies as air cooled lol. My latest addition to the desk and is my daily driver. It's a JONSBO TK-1 case holding a MSI Project Zero mb, 8700G and a Noctua PI heatsink. I'm loving the silence for a change. She will heat up quickly during a benchmark, but it cools off equally fast lol.

Core temp. That's one you don't see often anymore.
How's that 8700G performance compared to what you had before it? Is it killer fast or what?!

I used a 5700G for several years as a daily/gamer with a RX 5700 XT installed and was very satisfied with it. I eventually donated the 5700G (minus the gpu) to the cause when my gf was in need of a pc after her laptop died. I got tired of my game rig screaming at me all day which is what prompted this build. Compared to the 5700G, yeah the 8700G is light speed ahead in all tasks not to mention the better graphics as well. My favorite thing about it is the silence lol...honestly I could have done the same thing with the 5700G and been perfectly happy with it for my purposes.

My kids 5600G gets warm too. It's quiet for the most part using a wraith Prism.
