So I got myself a 2600 CL10 Trident X kit (Samsung D die) to test with. Excitedly, I decided to place it within my z87 gene with my 4130 since this is the only LGA 1150 CPU I own. All was smooth sailing it was able to do 2666 CL9-12-12 1.85V no problem. But when i tried booting off the 2800 divider, the board seems to boot loop and i'll have to push the memOK button. But it seems to boot 2800 with 2666 x 105 BLCK and finish geekbench 3 at 2800 9-12-12 1T although it needed 1.4SA and 2.15 Vdimm and pass within Geekbench3. Funny thing is that these sticks were binned to be able to do 2800 9-12-12 2.0 volts 32m with no issues. Which makes me wonder whether the Haswell IMC has issues posting past 2666 or whether I'm doing something incorrectly. If you share a similar experience please message me in this thread. Thanks! I have set of 2600 C10 as well as a quad set. Everything sounds about right for what I would expect from them and I would try more CPUs

Different CPU's will help you to understand what these sticks want to go and what works or doesn't with them - Same thing for different boards too. You should be OK with those as long as you don't volt them up to the point of degredation or even destruction. If possible, always have a fan on them for cooling support so at least they'll last longer and provide better results overall.

Thanks for the comments! It sounds like my 4130 IMC might be a little weak from what I’ve been hearing. Thankfully, I’m getting a 4670k shipped to me on eBay this week so I’m looking forward in benching it soon.
Also I’ve noticed that my z87 gene doesn’t seem to like Devils Canyon CPUs (4690k) no matter which bios I set it to. Does anyone else have a similar experience with the z87 impact or other asus z87 boards.
And thanks for the comment Macs and Bones 😁

Back in the day that was a common thing Z87 and Devils Canyon dont go well together. My three boards are all Z97 a Soc Force, Maximus VII Hero, OCF. They only come out these days when there is a stage in TC. BTW welcome to the team

I would like to welcome you to our family. BTW I am Fasttrack. Indeed I recall that Devil Canyon required Z97 boards. I used to have an MSI Z97 X-POWER, and have regretted for selling it. Still though I have my impact collection, VI, VII and VIII. Tuning mems was not an easy task. I have a set of g.skill 2400 c9, which with precise tuning does 2666 c8 tight. Anyway, take it easy, ask around and enjoy. Points dont come easy but you will get there.

Hi Fastrack the impacts always looks nice. Someone dmed me an eBay link to a broken z97 impact. Although I don’t have the technical skills repair it, it would still be nice as a collect board. Also do you have pictures for your 2666 cl8 score? would be nice to see the subtimmings. <style type="text/css"></style><style type="text/css">a[href^="http://www.mobi24.net/"]{display:none !important;}[class*="NotificationsBell__notificationsWrapper-"]{display:none !important;}amp-app-banner{display:none !important;}[class^="adjust-smart-banner"]{display:none !important;}a[href^="https://www.mobi24.net/"]{display:none !important;}[id^="ad-"], #remove_ads_link{display:none !important;}#ad1{display:none !important;}</style>

Today, I started benching my 4670k but this time I wanted to try Xp. After going on the web, I found something called XP tiny OS size was around 200-300mb. Let me tell you the performance was very tiny. Performed 20-30 seconds worse even with tighter mem and higher core speeds and wouldn't even post CPU-z. My question is whether there's a good benching os within warp9. Thanks Attachments:

Copy the full link into your browser. 1drv.ms/u/s!AtggOM_n_C-IxFntdB5e3j2sTenP?e=VnwiHk You will need acronis or another disk utility to restore it to a drive

Thank You! Do you have a guide for acronis. I've had trouble getting it working last time.

Consider giving Clonezilla a shot. I use it all the time for backups for my main computers and for some quick-to-break setups. clonezilla.org/downloads.php

When i tried to get some files there doesn't seem to be any I386 files and Nlite doesn't work you mean by mounting the .tib file and trying to pull/restore files? or selecting "Restore Files" from the restore menu?
and you backed up the entire partition I'm assuming?

I would double click on the original file (the one with the ISO) after i've installed Acronis. Then i'd open up the file and it would bring me to a file where it lists "Windows" "waza" and "documents and files". I didn't use the actual software.

I don't understand what you mean. What ISO file? If you make a backup of a system with acronis it will create a .TIB file. If you have acronis installed on a different PC, in windows you can then right-click on that file and select "Mount" and then it'll come up like a virtual drive. then you can pull what-ever file you want to recover.
then you can right-click on the virtual drive and then select either Eject or Unmount, I forget, it's been a while

That's alright. Mac dmed me explaining how to use acronis and the bacis of it. I thought a .Tib functioned like a zip file where the contents could be extracted. Also I appreciate your patience helping someone like me. you guys have helped me greatly figuring how .Tib files functions.

Ah, a TIB isn't really compressed like a zip. It just keeps everything together to make it easy for transport.
