oh my. Was wondering why there are cardboard boxes (computer shop) arriving from here and there.
Younger son had decided to build his own rig, I did not know.
We built a couple back in the day when he was a kid. And AFAIK had no issues with his current stuff(fx8300 with a small OC, but guess he got bored of it) except a new PSU was put in when the old one blew.

He is an avid gamer, so likely he wanted to do a bit of an upgrade, but what I am going to do with my stuff? I have enough 'puters anyway.
He can have some of it, but let´s see, he mentioned build was almost finished today, just saw some flashy lights.
Well, he does not want freebies, and now he will learn/rehearse how to put things together by himself.
A cool thing he has from a while back, Elgato video capture PCI-e card. Never used such myself.
(Bitwit )
EDIT: oh my again. He spent 1kEur on his new rig, DDR5 32 GB, but it is up and running playing with it right now, Asrock Riptide B650e wifi, processor an AMD R5 7600. PSU EVGA 750W Gold.
He reinstalled W10 on the new Sammy 970 evo plus 2TB, and he did not ask me. He is like an IT engineer although his studies&exam are in a different branch.
(I am an IT engineer, but commercial stuff(I use term "carrier grade") is a bit different than home stuff).
So now he also have some leftover "junk" from the older rig, hmm, what to do with it. He already have game consoles of many a sorts, but lost interest in those.
And he actually now dumped his old rig into my "home office" . Hmm, may need to dismantle and see what can re-use, the PSU 600W is quite new, under warranty, he could've re-used that.
Think he only re-used his current RX570 GPU in his build. Dual screen set from before.
Edit x2,
He chose Gskill,RAM, never used such in my rigs, but seem like he went all out, he is a young man.
I am a bit impressed how he figured out/chose all the components for his rig build, and yes, I did give him some positive feedback.
As far as I know he does not lurk here at W9 or at TPU. But he has gaming friends, so likely that inspired him to build his new rig.
