Been testing the UD7, Version 1.1, BIOS F10 and having some odd BIOS results. Once voltage got into the red on NB BIOS started hanging after F10, save changes YES. Turn power off / on, what was changed shows up once in windows on next boot. Is this some kind of Giga protection or is the BIOS going south?

My UD5 does that once and a while. Bios flash did not help. Just Giga thing I guess.

Had the same board, UD7 for a short time.
Gigabyte is strange, but at the same time I think it's geared towards software overclocking opposed to bios. Many times the voltage settings (any it seemed) would cause this issue. Be it cpu v-core or HT,HT/NB and or NB core.
Use the settings that post normally and increase with easy tune if the options are available.
Honestly though, liked the crosshair better.

I've always found easytune to be flaky. I always did everything in the bios but used ET6 to monitor what CPU-Z couldn't.
I've also never had that issue you're mentioning, but I don't bench as much as you guys. though I have had my fare share of other GB oddidies.
The worst issue I had was the bios seemed to have gotten locked up. couldn't flash it, board would boot, but would hard lock when entering the bios... had to pull the bios battery for a few days, then booted up, flashed the same rev back in to it and it was fine.

Sabertooth 2.0 here, only thing it didnt like was trying to run my 16gb 2133 Ram at 2400 speed with cas 9, it would show 16 gb but only 8 was useable.cas 10 no problem

I have two 990FXA-UD7 (rev. 3.0). Good boards. I had issues with the earlier revisions. I have two UD5 Rev. 1 boards and two UD7 Rev. 1 boards. All my Rev. 1 boards have vdroop hard mods. They(Hard Modded Giga Boards) are my best Giga boards whooping even the Rev. 3s. All that being said, the Asus boards were king in every department. Sabertooth R2.0. Sabertooth R3.0 and Crosshair V Formula Z were the kings. Ram overclocking on the Formula Z was a breeze. I enjoyed the 990FX days.

My other timings are tighter than Tridents, i never got into the ohm value adjustments though
